We all are, seeing Embiid played this many games this season without a setback with his past injuries is a success already to me. Making the playoffs was just icing on the cake, if he comes back for it or not, I’m already happy with how they finished the year.

It's just also something that isn't 100% accurate. Again it's just asking him questions it's not like taking a look at his brain and seeing if it's bruised.

Originally I thought they said they did the CT scan and it didn't come up with any fracture, which seemed like bs. Now it seems like they did an X Ray in arena. The CT scan showed the break.

This one isn't on the medical staff guys, if anything the delay in getting the information out is on the PR people.

Wills Eye. One of the best in the world. Embiid is in good hands with whatever surgeon is operating.

Exactly 2 weeks before the playoffs start. Let's hope we start Sunday 4/15 and not 4/14...we need every day we can get lol.

I think reports are saying he misses at least one game. So I don’t think he will be ready for Saturday or Sunday first playoff game. Maybe they are hoping for 3 days between 1st and 2nd game. I think the home team gets to decide the games played and rest for 1st round.

Woj said that the team is hopeful that he will miss only one playoff game.

It is an unknown right now. He will play as soon as he is ready.

That makes getting HCA even more important.

Embiid’s surgery was a success, his return in 2 weeks is depending on his pain threshold and being cleared by doctors

As long as he doesn’t have concussion symptoms or double vision then I would expect that he will make the first game of the playoffs.

I’m not really sure how pain threshold enters into it. It isn’t like an ankle or a knee or something like that where pain could be felt with every movement. He will have a mask, and hopefully he just doesn’t get hit in the face during the games, which doesn’t happen very frequently anyway.

Still, I’m holding my breath and hoping for the best.

Pre game, April second

Brett Brown: I wanna tell you something about Joel Embiid. He's gonna play tonight.

That would be pretty surprising as they don't have a game on the 2nd. :D

after initially fearing the worst, I'm starting to get the feeling he will play game 1 of the first round... this isn't a knee or ankle or back injury.. this is a fracture repair with a mask on, dude is going to play

let's hope we can lock home court and also get the later start date, and also hope game 2 can have 2 days in between game 1

hopefully embiid can stay in shape over these few weeks, I see no reason why he cant, even if its doing work outs in the pool to stop any like pain from running/bouncing n such, just keep his heart rate up high these 2 weeks in the pool or something

Great to hear that surgery went well. I wonder if when Embiid returns will he be more conscientious or economical with his body movements? Maybe the the discomfort and limitations of the mask will make him a bit less reckless and more cautious out on the court? Just a thought and trying to find a silver lining. If he is there for game 2, I would be ecstatic.

He's been like that this season anyways... Can't reign it in too much...
