Very happy with Henry Sims he is a keeper. We have our back up Center in Sims and 6th man in Wroten to develop for years to come. I like Varnado , James Anderson and Hollis Thompson as well. Keepers! We can develop a really solid bench next year. Add our two lottery picks hopefully two high upside wings . The future looks bright!

Great article on Sims' progression working with Greg Foster, Sims development has me excited for Noel as well. I love that nearly our entire coaching staff consists of developmental guys.

The media will never give "evil tanking" Hinkie any credit, but that Hawes trade was tremendous. We got 2 2nds and a solid young big for Hawes' expiring. Really good value all around and I hope we bring back Sims next year

Great value getting those picks and Sims. He's been an awesome addition. Also it's nice that Hollis and Henry are buddies from Georgetown.

to bad we couldn't sign him to a Hinkie special (4 yr unguarenteed deal) when we landed him.

Dosen't he have a non-guaranteed deal for at least next year?

Hinkie has made some good deals to protect the Sixers if one of the players he finds turns out to be a gem. Too bad the Cavs GM... <boy where do I begin to finish this thought>

If I'm understanding correctly (please let me know if I am wrong), Sims signed a two deal with the Cavs with the second year not guaranteed. If he stays with the Sixers through that second year, he will still have three or less years of service. I'm not sure if they count his 10-day call-up last season. Either way, with three or less years of service, he can be a restricted free agent if the Sixers make him a qualifying offer. He would still be under the Sixers control for two more seasons. Wouldn't he be a an early-bird free agent at that point (Gilbert Arenas Rule)?

Know what's crazy? Since the trade Sims' PER has actually been better than Hawes', 17.4 to 16.7, swapping those two and acquiring the two draft picks, that trade was a freaking heist. I can't wait for this off season, Hinkie continues to impress.

That trade was robbery before Sims became a revelation. Also, ET is currently doing more than his part to sink the good ship Pacers. The National Media that ran with the "throwing players away for nothing" story should be publicly flogged.

All praises to supreme leader Hinkie
