His positioning/footwork is pretty bad but you have to look at him in terms of the other guard prospects and the wider league. None of the top guys are going to be plus defenders early on. He also has the physical tools to be at least not a negative on that end and our coaching staff has a proven record in terms of getting our guys to play to their talent level on that end (RoCo, Biid, Noel)

Welcome, Markelle. Lakers and Sacramento turn from enemies to allies.

I'm beyond excited about this! Best guard prospect we've had here in quite some time! This kid has a chance to be really special...So does Simmons, oh....and so does Embiid!!!!

We were competent defensively with Ersan and Nik getting significant minutes. I'm not worried about him impacting our defense much. I'm more curious about what we do offensively....very few teams add two significant shot creators in the same year like we'll be doing with Fultz and Simmons next season. I expect a rough go of things offensively early on.

Are we still running motion offensive? You would think with the current talent level a lot more high screen and rolls are going to happen much more than last year.

To be fair, those guys were freaks of nature on defense in college.

Not exactly but you figure it out and this is going a step further towards hyped up imagination

Ben Simmons play all around point forward role like Draymond.

Embiid plays 3 level scorer + high defensive impact like KD.

Fultz plays 3 level scorer like Curry

RoCo plays elite 3&D like Iggy

Holmes plays McGee

Shawn long plays David West

Okafor plays Zaza

Some shooter plays klay. Maybe TLC

Our starting roster is almost radically different to the Warriors - a good thing given its basically impossible to mimic something that good, but I like how we could match up against them, or indeed any other team, a few years down the track. In fact I like how we match up against a lot of the league right now.

This is exciting just as an NBA fan. Hope you guys can stay healthy. You guys can definitely make the playoffs if you are. You made a pretty strong push for a while last season u til the process went down.

Adding Fultz to an already fun core is cool. Hope it works out well. Got a big three to build around from their debut. That's rare.

Only sour point is hinkie isn't there to reap the benefits of his good work.

Officially my 2nd favourite team. Go Sixers 8-)

It really was a great deal, and fingers crossed everyone's healthy and puts it together this year.

What type of rookie year can the Sixers expect from Fultz? Is he more likely to have a high end of a Lillard-type rookie season(19ppg-7apg-37pct from 3) or a low end being a DeAngelo Russell-type rookie season(13ppg-3apg-35pct from 3)?

The number, I don't know.

But playing alongside Embiid (and Simmons to a lesser extent) should make his %'s decent to good imo.
If not, we have a problem.

Are all the people that were willing to trade the #3 pick and Lakers pick for CJ Mccollum happy? IMO We got a better player who's 6 years younger. Welcome Markelle!!!!!!

Markelle still has a long way to prove that he is a bonafide 20-23ppg scorer that CJ is but he has a good a chance as any 19y.o. Playing besides Embiid/Simmons.

the d is bad, he has tools to add stats on that end and make events, so that's something but consistent d probably won't be there, but you have Cov and JoJo for that matter so...
