Great signing for you guys, I didn't think Redick would take a 1 year deal. Sixers going to be an exciting team to watch this coming season if they stay healthy.

I love it. I'm surprised he agreed to just 1 year. BC trusts the process.

So if Korkmaz does come over, then we only have one roster spot left?

Fultz/Bayless/TJ
Redick/Stauskas/Korkmaz
Covington/TLC/Anderson
Simmons/Saric
Embiid/Holmes/Okafor

Maybe we finally trade Okafor and go for a 1-year Amir Johnson deal? I don't see the need to make any more moves, but I guess adding vets with certain roles may add wins help with the development of our franchise players.
2025-2026 Philadelphia 76ers:

Maxey/McCain/Lowry
Grimes/Edgecombe/Gordon
Oubre/Edwards/Council
George/Watford/Walker
Embiid/Bona/Drummond/Broome

Iguodala cancelled his meetings just hours before Redick signed. I wouldn't be shocked if he's coming back to Philly. Man if that happens and Sixers could flip Okafor for a tough veteran center then the Sixers (if fully healthy) might be favorites over the Cavs.

Redick could have a huge year.

Fultz drives, defense collapses....kicks out to JJ for the open 3-splash.

Simmons drives with a head of steam, no look pass to the corner-JJ splashes the open 3.

Embiid gets doubled in the post, kicks it out to JJ, open 3-splash.

Wanted no part of Redick because I thought it would require 3+ years. On a 1 year deal this is an excellent addition for so many reasons.

Proof that Philadelphia isn't a sought after destination for NBA players. You had to overpay JJ Redick for a year and the last free agent acquisition of note was Elton Brand who had to be maxed out to play in Philly.

Or it's just proof that the Sixers haven't been relevant in years, hence why they have not signed any free agents of worth.

If the Sixers are a contender, suddenly things change. No losing teams are signing big named Fa's.

That...that's your takeaway from this deal?
