The audacity of some people sticking their nose up at a Ben/Lavine swap at this point... is beyond nuts. You’d be lucky to get an Italian shorti and peach tea from WaWa for this clown at this point. But hey, I guess he’s still better than Brandon Ingram and Jaylen Brown

If Zach were on this team in place of Ben we sweep the Hawks
always a jump shot away.

One step at a time

First solve the riddle of trading a player... (a player that 29 other GMs, even Billy King tier GMs know) that everyone knows they can bend you over Ainge style because you're FINALLY fed up. Good luck

That's why I think the CJ trade seems the most plausible and palatable for all sides. CJ's a fine player, I can't see Philly losing this series if you swap Ben for CJ. However, even if Portland was trying to bend Philly over a barrel, one of the goals of the Portland FO is going to be to move CJ. Powell slots in nicely as a replacement for him and CJ makes the roster unbalanced. The CJ for Simmons trade just make sense. I think Portland adds to it, just unsure on what's going to be added given these playoffs.

If New York decides to aggressively pitch a premier free agent this offseason, DeRozan would seem to fit the mold of a player receptive to Thibodeau's culture. The Spurs' swingman is believed to have an interest in returning to the Eastern Conference, sources said,

https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2941224-knicks-finally-impressing-nba-stars-but-will-front-office-chase-big-names

Pop gets an immensely talented but flawed young player to go with his fleet of young scorers. They could start contending this upcoming year and they'll be trading a player they'll lose to FA anyway.

Sixers get a guard who was 7th in FTA (88%) 11th in assist (7pg) and a 20+ ppg scorer. The Lowry enticement aside, DeRozan matches up with Embiid infinitely better than Simmons. One of the best midrange guys in the game who gets to the line a ton, which puts pressure on the defense and gives Embiid a breather. The ship hath sailed on blue chip players. Time to get an elite creator to pair with Embiid.

Unfortunately the Beal trade has sailed (we though we could get him for Tobi and filler).

Dame is out of our reach unless we give the Harden package and then some.

There’s a reason why Zach has been on awful teams his entire career

Im not a huge fan of Lavine but at this point, they need to try something different other than Ben. If they trade for Lavine and it fails, so be it. But it has failed with Ben too. I dont want them to get Derozan though.

Bulls would never willingly trade LaVine for Simmons.

I can only see that contract getting moved for an equally bad contract

Well some of these proposals are under the assumption we have the other team’s GM at gunpoint, which would explain why they are so lopsided.

Lavine no

D’lo hell no

Wall hell no

Lowry yes

Derozan only if part of more moves and a reunion with Kyle ain’t it

Nah this is easily the best team for entertainment purposes. Wall + Green will bring in loads of fun and excitement

Would like to see if we could get Kyrie for Ben and something around him. Nets need defense, we need creator. It could be a win-win for both teams.

Oh, it was in the Fantasy Thread. So you want everyone with a first name starting with "J"? Is that the meme? I guess that's one way to build a team.

Actually the Nets are prob the one team that would be okay if he never shot, always passed, played defense, and stood in the dunker’s spot to swat rebounds back out. They may be a great fit for him.

Yes :) also it’s a very well built team. 3x ballhandlers, PG that no one wants but can def play all star quality from that position. A Young super stud in the making.
That backcourt has ridiculous potential.

Also Ingles/Embiid duo game would look a class above Ingles/Gobert’s two man game.

I would go after Lowry but have no idea what it will take

Suspect he either stays at Toronto or moves to Miami anyway

Ben & Siakam ain’t it so will require 3rd team

Ben should go west

In all honesty I am no super high on Kyrie, but I am 100% sure he would be significant improvement over Ben. Probably the best one can realistically hope for. I do not think there will be much interest for other clubs except those that really need defense and are full of shooters. Basically only nets and Jazz seem as teams that could think Ben could move a needle for them, and Jazz realy do not have anyone useful for us that they could potentially be willing to trade.
