I agree, I think we're in trouble this year. You basically have to scratch James Harden from the list because he's never going to play here again. Korkmaz is the only player on that list that I'm holding out hope for. I honestly think he was a victim of Doc Rivers and that he most certainly can play in this league. Maybe Nick Nurse just turns him loose with the second unit. Korkamz has proven that he can score in this league. Why not give it a shot?

Maxey/Terq Smith or Pat Bev
Melton/Springer
Tobias/House Jr.
Tucker/Reed
Embiid/Bamba

I think our depth chart will be more like this with defense and Maxey/Tobi stepping up to make up for the void Harden left on offense

I like the Maxey/Terq with Melton/Springer rotation at the backcourt. Its just Terq needs more experience to play that big of a role. If not, Pat Bev can certainly be back-up PG.

I also find our frontcourt of Tucker/Biid with Reed/Bamba to have a higher ceiling and more flexibility than what we have before. We can play Biid with one of Tucker or Reed or Bamba depending on the situation.

And if we ever decide to punt the season, we activate Petrusev. Sit Tucker and Biid. Then spend the season to develop Reed at the 4 with bigger roles for Terq Smith and Springer at the 1&2.

Overall I find our team flexible to compete with Harden, without Harden or punt the season.
There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.

I need somehow to for Harden,Tucker and Harris to be off this team before I get excited again. RN this ain't exciting. Also I'm pissed that we haven't acquired Kelly Oubre by now.

I think we’re the Eastern favorites if we pull off a Harden for depth trade. We got a gift from the Boston trade, especially now that Porzingis has foot issues. They’re worse, Bucks are the same team but a year older, & the Heat will trade all their depth for Dame.

What is the infatuation with Kelly Oubre? He's a decent role player served best coming off the bench, but the guy has been a problem at each and every stop he's made in the NBA. I feel like Danuel House can do the exact same things he can do.

There should be nowhere posted this year that the Sixers are favorites for anything, except perhaps most drama and dysfunction.

Sixers need wings, and Oubre is a wing. He would start for this team IMO. But Daryl doesn't want to do anything this year apparently. Still on vacation.

For all we know, they checked in on Oubre and he wants a 3 year deal. You can't force someone to sign with you on your terms.

Valid point. But… it’s the end of August. If there was a 3 year deal to be had for him, he would have been signed by now.

If there was a non-minimum deal to be had for him, it would’ve been signed by now.

You would think Oubre would want an NBA job. But perhaps not? Also this would require Morey to end vacation and deal with a player whom he didn’t have in Houston. So we can’t expect too much.

players are probably also waiting for the Harden trade to happen.

imaging signing here expecting major minutes only for the trade to happen and your spot is taken lol

Same reason Miami hasn't done much.

Agents aren't that dumb

signing Oubre would be a move that makes them worse

better off playing Korkmaz

It would be nice to see them pickup additional scoring, preferably a shooter. No Niang, no Shake, hopefully no Harden. I think the starters could be good, but they will need someone else. Jailblazers right, they could be better than last year with a Harden for depth trade. Not even hating on Harden, I just know he's in Maxey's way, and he's not going to play off the ball when he's looking for money.

I'm not trying to convince you of anything. I'm saying that all of these guys want a ton of money right now and we don't have it to give. It looks as though Oubre is betting on himself right now. He may change his stance once October rolls around and he's still without work. As Stanford said, maybe we did inquire about Oubre (I definitely would have), but the price may have been too high. Personally I think House can do the same things he can do on the floor. I also think Korkmaz gets a look early on. It just seems as though we are trying to maximize the players we already have under contract. Again, I could care less about convincing you of anything.

Also, because of our payroll, signing someone for the tMLE would limit the salary range that we could take back in potential Harden or Harris trades. IMO, it doesn't make sense to limit what we could get for Harden just to sign a guy like Oubre.
