That challenge when the tank gods were handing the game back to Danny Ainge is inexcusable.

Nic Nurse is the dumbest and worst coach I have ever seen. And that's from a fan who has seen Brett Brown and Doc River for several years ...

That Al Horford signing was a complete disaster. Played like he was washed in the Sixers uniform. Got paid. We gave up a first rounder to off load him. Now we are going to lose that pick because Nick Nurse doesn’t want to tank. One bad business after another.

Al Horford is 38 years old and casually shut down Luka Doncic in last night’s game.

Horford is a professional.

The paring of Simmons and embiid and horford was just a bad fit.

Maybe things work out better if horford came added Simmons left and embiid learned how to start the offense from the mid free throw line starting in 2021-2022 season. Instead of trying to back down opponents when horford was there

Nick Nurse has to try to win. Just as much as the players on the court. Tanking comes from the GM and the decisions about who dresses/doesn't. And who is injured/resting even when they aren't.

Utah rested Walker Kessler at just the right time. This was a hard-fought loss for them, and Kessler did his part.

And they had Svi - hard to compete with the job he did. 19:08 with a -29 and 0pts. Impressive stuff.

You can bench/rest/injure the best players, but then the ones you're left with are playing for their contracts and their roster spots. Can't fault them for playing their absolute best. Bona with a 14/14/5blks and +22. Why would he try to do less?

Tough win for the Sixers. Hopefully they can recover from that moving forward.

No team deserves success less than this franchise. They can't do anything right. I don't know about you, but it feels dirty to beg the sports gods to bail your incompetent team out, because they're just so inept. If they lose the pick, they got exactly what was coming to them. Everyone knew they should've started tanking months ago. And if you're mad now, wait til Maxey and PG are back in the starting lineup in a week and they win a handful more games.

So these “sports gods” prefer teams that actively try to be terrible? What a fascinating moral code they have

The sports gods don't favor anyone. They don't exist, that's the point. The Sixers had an opportunity to cut needing extraordinary luck out of the equation and maximize their mathematical odds. They have chosen not to do so.

And Sixers fans everywhere now have to resort to praying their basketball team gets very lucky. All because their organization could not do the smart thing. They never do the smart thing.

You all knew we would win this game. A top six pick is still in the cards. Stop overreacting. Nick Nurse is not going to blatantly lose a game on purpose.

I'm on record stating explicitly that this was the worst move in franchise history and I stand by that. Giving OKC the 7th, hell make it the 8th pick will send me into the ethos.

"Signing Al Horford was a terrible move" and "Al Horford played well/did his job" are not mutually exclusive statements.

Using the last of their cap space to pay $28M for a backup center was a terrible waste of resources. Trying a double big lineup alongside a point guard who was afraid to shoot, a shooting guard who didn't shoot well, and a small forward who didn't shoot enough was a disaster waiting to happen. All of that overshadows the fact that Horford was productive in his time here.

Here's a quick and dirty list of Embiid's on/off splits each year, along with the primary backup center

23-34 10.0 Reed
22-23 10.2 Reed
21-22 11.5 Drummond
20-21 12.3 Howard
19-20 05.0 Horford
18-19 10.5 Muscala
17-18 12.7 Johnson
16-17 11.1 Okafor

Darryl Morey was walking down the hall in sneakers and as he passed Adam Silver the sneakers squeaked. Adam Sliver looked at Morey and said I know you farted...and you've done this before. Morey was like no Adam it was the sneakers. Adam was like yeah right. (typed in the lightest green font available).

Everything Morey and the 76ers do unfortunately has to be completely above board or Silver will come down on the franchise. This franchise is not afforded the benefit of the doubt. Every chance Silver gets to stick it to the 76ers he does. So blatantly tanking like Utah did last night, I don't know how the hell they got away with that, sends off all types of alarms in the league office about the 76ers. I wish it was not so, but it is.
You want it to be one way....but it's the other way. (Marlo)

Can’t blame the guys if Grimes & young bench win games… I can not like it, but can’t blame them playing for their careers.

Really hoping we don’t see much more of our vets this season though. (Aside from maybe the Drummond pump and dump)

Could blame Darryl for acquiring Grimes though, if you wish to blame someone. Which I do.
