Id put it at 85% chance we leave with VJ or Harper, 15% any other outcome.
2025-2026 Philadelphia 76ers:

Maxey/McCain/Lowry
Edgecombe/Grimes/Gordon
George/Oubre/Edwards
Watford/Barlow/Walker
Embiid/Drummond/Bona/Broome

VJ drafted makes me further not believe in the 76ers. I don't like having another shooting guard especially that don't shoot. We need shooting ,size, length badly. I dont care about his defensive reputation because hes a avg sized 2 that can't play 1 or 3.

But Ace can't shoot either, then.

Trade back to Pelicans, get Herb Jones. Tre and VJ are gone. We don't actually like Kon.

It was the plan all along:

We can get your boy Queen with the Pels #23 pick, no need to waste #7 on him.

I’m going
#1 Flag
#2. Harper
#3 trade to Charlot(from Sixers ) for 4 and 33 plus salary dump Gordon or Drummond. Charlotte drafts VJ. Edgecombe.
#4 trade to Utah ( from Sixers) for 5 and another future 2RP and a salary dump. Utah draft Knueppel
#5 Sixers draft Ace Bailey. The guy they actually wanted all along.

But if San Antonio asks for too much more beyond the #3 and Clippers unprotected 2028 pick, the price may be viewed as too excessive to be worth it. I think the odds of being able to make a deal are probably like 10-20%. It's not impossible, but don't count on it.

That sounds like a re-run of Fultz. One of the worst drafts we've had. Give two firsts to get the worse player. I don't have Harper as significantly better than the Ace, Tre, VJ group. Certainly not enough of a gap to be worth two firsts.

2) I'm sure the team likes a few guys in this draft more than the others, but the truth is there's no obvious can't miss guy at #3. Everybody there has legitimate question marks (Ace's brain, Tre's defense and driving, VJ's ball skills, Kon's athleticism). Therefore, it makes sense to either trade back before making the pick, or draft somebody who you know another team is infatuated with and hold him hostage for a ransom. By trading back, you can try and take more swings at bat.

Totally agreed, but if the other team also agrees, then it may be hard to trade back.

What you mean ? Hes 6'7 with a 7 ft wingspan and can score. He can play 3/4 spots. Ace upsides in a different tier than Vj can only play 2 . We don't need VJ. I'm tired of this he will never shoot better than maxey,mccain and grimes. Get off vj d*** . This is the most annoying part of the draft. I wish VJ wasn't in this years class because he so overhyped its comical.

Lets' say we're not completely sold on VJ, someone desperately wants Ace but we don't want to risk to loose Tre trading back from #3.

So:

DAL -> Flagg
SAS -> Harper
TBD -> Ace
CHA -> VJ
UTA -> Knueppel

If TBD=WAS, we can select Tre
If TBD=NO we can hope WAS selects Fears and we go with Tre
If TBD=BKN there's a good chance we loose out on Tre and we can select only one of Maluach or Essengue

I would be ok to trade down with WAS, nervous to trade down with NO and it would take an offer to blown my mind to trade with BKN

Of course if Ace or VJ are in upper tier of our board, we have to draft one of them

Yea, but Ace shoots worse than VJ.

What is everyone's infatuation with Herb Jones? I've seen a million mock trades for him. He's just a guy.

Also has a really dumb name. I've never seen such an overhype for a guy who made his name playing intense defense in a short first round playoff series three years ago.

I think it's far more likely we trade down in some manner if Morey can't work a trade up for Harper. There's just not enough separation from #3-8 to not take advantage of one or more of CHA, BKN, NO, or WSH falling in love with a player.

If Morey leaves this draft with a lottery pick, 1-2 additional players, and a future pick, hopefully one from 2026, it will have been a job well done.

Hornets aren't a great fit anyways with Brandon Miller.

Jazz I think would draft him depsite his wishes. Danny Ainge doesn't give a **** lol

Also, Washington, Brooklyn, and New Orleans want him and would trade up to us.

Ace wants Sixers, Wizards, or Nets. If we don't want him, it's time for those teams to pay up.

Incorrect, he doesn't want the Sixers.

Read on Twitter

So we'd have to take him despite wanting nothing to do with us.
