Heres the 3 way I proposed on the trade board
Philly get Lowry & Miller
Miami get Andre Miller
Memphis gets J Williams(exp) Carney and the Utah first round pick

Everyone gets what they need Miami an experienced point....Philly a young point and a three point shooter and memphis another first an expiring deal and a young prospect...what else could you need

I doubt that the Grizz dump Lowry and Miller solely for cap space and some rather meaningless incentives. Based on the Gasol trade though, nothing is impossible.

I'd rather keep Miller. Even though I know Lowry personally, I don't think he is a true PG. Miller is running this team great right now.

With the trade of Shaq Miami is in rebuilding mode I doint think that they want to get rid of an expiring contract and take on an agign Dre Miller.

I have no problem with Lowry as a player but I think he is too small to play in the backcourt at the same time as Lou Williams. Sort of like Iverson & Speedy Claxton at the same time. If Lou Williams is the starter & Lowry is his back-up I guess that would be OK. However, IMO Lou will play combo guard so that the PG that they bring in has to have some size.

Im a HUGE Lowry fan and for a team that is "off the backboards and go" like we are, Lowry is perfect. The point of acquiring Lowry while Miller is still around is to play Lowry at the backup 1 and to give Williams more time at the 2 (which would mean one of our wings would get traded probably Carney).
Lowry is an above average rebounder and playmaker for his size. I think getting Lowry almost guarantees that Miller gets traded because Lowry has proven he can play starter minutes and be productive.

I would 100 percent deal Miller to Orlando for expirings and trade Carney and the Utah 1st for Lowry, giving way to a 1-2-3 rotation of Lowry, Williams, Iguodala, Green and Young. Im impressed by that young core.

Since Memphis is looking to slash payroll, it wouldn't surprise me if they wanted their trading partner to take a bad contract along with Lowry (Collins? Cardinal?) in exchange for an expiring.

i am all for aquiring lowry but i don't know what's his price.i think the utah's pickis a litlle too much if we consider that lowry is their 4th pg.Ok, i would give Carney for him but Rodney played well in the last few games so i don't know..i guess willie green is not an option so carney+second pick is the best we can offer.

If we could pull a 3-way and get Miller moved for expiring money as well I'd be into it. I'm not sold on moving Miller, but if we could kill two birds with one helpful stone I'd be down

I don't necessarily think they would do the trade either, but I'm also not sure they are in straight "rebuilding mode". They already have DWade, just added Marion, and will probably get one of the studs in this draft. If they pull that off, they could very well be a playoff team again next year. I see them kind of like the Spurs, the year before they hit the Tim Duncan lottery. A team that gets lucky after a bad year that's an anomaly.

Marion, Beasley, DWade is a great core at 2-3-4.

I'm all for getting Lowry, I got to see him quite a bit when Nova used to play Syracuse and he's got some skill and could get a lot better.

But I'm worried about the cost. Part of me is saying, give up what it takes as long as we don't break up the young core all too much but the other side of me says, Well.... We are on a roll and getting things done with what we have, Is Lowry going to give us that extra boost or is this a tiny step backwards now leading up to a bigger step in the future?

I guess I'm content right now with what we have, If getting Lowry means moving Miller then I'd vote against it.

And to whoever said It would be like Iverson and Claxton, although Iverson is on a different level than any of the other players mentioned I agree... As much talent as Louis Williams and Lowry have they will be at a disadvantage on the court together. The new fad in the NBA is big guards, I'm not trying to say shorter guards are obsolete, because they are definately not. but who knows, they would complement eachother nicely, Williams is flashy, speedy, good scorer. Lowry is tough hardnose and all that good stuff. I just wouldn't put my faith in it until I saw how it works.

But it's more than likely all in vain we will be able to make a deal for Lowry that satisfies us.

I wonder if Aaron McKie has anything to do with this situation. He's now a member of the Grizzlies and supposedly the Grizzlies called the Sixers to see if they were interested in Kyle. I wonder if Aaron passed the word down there about Philly being a good trade partner.

Isn't Aaron Mckie on our coaching staff? When did he join the Grizzlies?

From what I've seen of Lowry I don't like the long term prospects of him as a starting PG. He's a penetrating scorer at 5'11 that doesn't play above the rim unlike Iverson, TJ Ford, the young Bobby Jackson, Marbury. Lowry is too much like the young Tyrone Lue and Jameer Nelson...

The Lakers had to sign him to make the salaries match in the Gasol trade.

I hope we can nab Lowry. If that means dealing Carney to do so then i'd be all for it.
