Carney jeez don't make me vomit before I get to eat today.

I think it's very short sited by a lot of these teams sticking there noses up at Sammy because of a tk. If I was Ed I would keep him and play hard ball when he's a expiring and one of these cheap teams wants him.

Carney's a good guy, 6'6 solid wing-span. Carney has NBA potential and started to tap into it in Minnesota. Shot better, played better. He's a good kid unlike Willie Green.

Carney frustrated me just as much as Sam. He seemed to play too fast, always seemed out of place and had that ugly runner shot. I'm not too sure I'd like to see him return.

His athleticism was intriguing, but I'm not sold on him.

I think Von Wafer is a better option than Carney, a guy just coming into his onw at 23 yo and hits threes at a pretty good clip. Any word if he is anywhere on our list of players to look into?

Out of curiosity, is Jamario Moon a free agent? I read on another thread which mentioned Carney that Moon was also available. If so, I wouldn't mind adding him to our roster if at all possible.

We need to sign this guy:

1. He can shoot.
2. the name
3. the Faux-hawk:

Ugh, I despise Moon. I watched him a lot when he was in Toronto and he would shoot way too many threes and bite on way too many pump fakes. He played quite a bit better in Miami, but that wasn't even half a season.

Also, for some reason he always decided to have his good games against Philly.

Only problem I have with Wafer is his (alleged) bad attitude.

While I no longer have much faith in the "upside" of Carney, he did turn in some pretty good games as a spot up 3 point shooter and can obviously finish in transition as a dunker. Defensively, he's not too bad either, although his rebounding is woeful. Whatever the case, if Philly is looking at him for something like the LLE ($1.7 million or so last time I looked), you could do worse than Carney.

I agree wholeheartedly with 9th wonder on moon. Want nothing to do with that guy (wasn't he supposed to be better than thad?). Anyways, I'm on board for wafer. He would surely be a legit 3pt threat at the 2. I'd be down for Carney to come back if he could play the 2 guard, and I just don't see it. Maybe he has improved his handle to the point were he can play the 2 now. Didn't see a lot of Tpup games.
They say an analytics man doesn't have a heart, but I ran the numbers and nothing can be further from the truth - Sam Hinkie probably

I mentioned Wafer earlier but it looks like Houston wants to keep him.

Hi. I'm not in Orlando. Bad time for newspapers -- I didn't even do the Sixers' playoff games in Orlando -- so there's no way I could go.

Am waiting to hear back about possible interest in Carney. Would guess it'd be possible for the fourth-year minimum, but not for part of the MLE.

Am told Sixers still haven't heard from Blazers about a possible sign-and-trade deal for Miller. Sounds like Philly is waiting to see which free agent Portland goes after, then will see if a sign-and-trade would be possible.

Just as I thought -- Carney wants more than the minimum. I hear Sixers might be interested for the fourth-year minimum. It's a waiting game.

Stefanski, Jordan, O’Koren, McKie and Sonny Hill are in Orlando. Courtney Witte is scouting in New Zealand.

Am also hearing that "it might not matter what Portland does (in free agency)" regarding the Miller situation. Perhaps the Blazers aren't as interested as some think they are.

I believe Moon is an RFA, so Miami would probably match any offer that doesn't overpay him.

Yes he is. Made the second-year minimum of $711K last year.

So how much of this is Miller's agent trying to drum up interest in his client? And if Portland doesn't pan out would he accept a 2 year deal here?

Hear Andy Miller was asking for three or four years at $10 mill per for Andre Miller. Nobody is going to pay him three and $30, let alone four. If Portland doesn't sign him or work a sign-and-trade, his options are limited.

As of now, no. Also wonder if Sixers aren't ready to move on and take a closer look at Lou Williams and give Holiday meaningful minutes as a rookie.
