Brand/Green for Chandler/Diop works in trade checker. Doubt Charlotte does that though.

As a Bucks fan, we were discussing a deal with the Bulls, who are trying to move salary. The Bucks would get Deng, but we'd rather have Iggy.

Would the 76ers do Deng for Iggy? They're the same age and signed for the same duration, and Deng is slightly cheaper. I would think Deng would team better with Turner.

This is based on the newest rumor circulating:
Trade ID #5560579

Cavs Receives:

Andre Iguodala

Cavs Starting 5:
Andre Iguodala (playing point forward)
Maurice Williams
LeBron James
Antawn Jamison
Anderson Varejao

Kings Receives:

Delonte West (expiring)
JJ Hickson
Mareese Speights

Kings Starting 5:
Tyreke Evans
Francisco Garcia
Donte Greene
Carl Landry/Mareese Speights/Jason Thompson
Samuel Dalembert/JJ Hickson

76ers Receives:
Jamario Moon (expiring)
5th Overall Pick
Daniel Gibson
Delonte West
Beno Udrih

76ers:
Jrue Holiday/Beno Udrih
Evan Turner/Lou Williams
Thaddeus Young/Jamario Moon
Elton Brand/??
DeMarcus Cousins/Spencer Hawes

For the Cavs:
This trade puts them in a much better position for their team to compete. Iggy-Mo-Jamison and LeBron is locked at the 1-2-3 and 4 positions. With Iggy's ballhandling, this enables him to play more of the Jason Terry type of role and concentrate more on his scoring.

For the Kings:
I know DeMarcus Cousins is a good prospect for them to pass up. But the trade gives them two prospect big men in Speights and Hickson, minus Cousin's red flag. Plus, the trade gives them the opportunity to get rid of Udrih's contract.

For the 76ers:
The trade gives them a very bright future and probably solves their biggest need at the C position.

You have both the Kings and Sixers receiving Delonte West.

Have you seen Wes Johnson play man defense? I sure haven't...Kind of worries me a bit. A good zone can make a below average defender look quite solid, so I'm just wondering if anybody has actually seen Johnson perform up to his "terrific defender" status.

I'm pretty sure i saw a post by Dbodner saying that he had to go back and watch Johnson at BYU to get a better idea of his defense. He could probably give a good description of his defense and potential.

I have just seen Johnson at Syracuse, but he seems like he has the tools to be a good defender.

I don't mind that deal at all, and it seems a bit more realistic than the previously mentioned one...why would Sacto want Mo Williams??? Still don't see it happening, but would be fine if it did.

Not at all interested in taking back Gibson and Udrih. They each have like 3yrs left, and are both sub-par pgs. So our rotation is:

Jrue / Beno / LWill / Gibson
Turner /

No thanks. And on top of taking back those worthless contracts we move speights too?

So if cousins drops to 6 (GSW), think we could get them to deal him if we give them expirings for maggette???

Young / Kapono / Green

#6 / Maggette / Azubuike(if needed to match salary?)

GSW saves a bunch of money long term... Maggette expires with Brand, so its not like we are doing anything between now and then anyway FA wise.

Jrue / LWill
Turner / Meeks / (Azu)
Iggy / Maggette
Brand / Speights
Cousins / Hawes

I like the idea of getting #6 without giving up Iggy but we would have to give much more than that. Also I'm not sure GSW would be interested in Thad. Maybe something like this could work:

Sixers out- Kapono, Williams, Green, Young, Speights
Sixers in- #6, Maggette, Foster, Azubuike

Warriors out- #6, Maggette, Azubuike
Warriors in- #10, Kapono, Green, Speights

Pacers out- #10, Foster
Pacers in- Williams, Young

#10/Foster for Williams/Young is a rumored deal. Sixers might overpay but they would be stupid not to do this. They would be able to have a top 5 team in the east right away and down the road a few years they would be able to compete for a title if everyone develops right. If the Warriors aren't super interested in drafting in Cousins this is a solid trade down deal.

Maggette is very overpaid and has 3 years left on his deal. Kapono and Green are expiring. Also Azubuike just missed the whole season with an injury.

Its not Favors but Cousins and it leaves them a lot of money coming off the books next year and still get a 10th pick in the deal.

eh, yeah, not sure we'd need to give up lwill/young/speights if we are taking back maggette, his contract is pretty bad.

I think we would have to leave Lou, Thad, and Speights in. I'm still not sure the Warriors make the trade though. I would think they would just draft Cousins. It's a pretty good trade for golden State, but maybe not enough to make them pass on Cousins potential.

there is no way the Warriors clear maggette's contracts for expirings, get a young talent in Speights (or anyone for that matter) and only drop 4 draft picks. at the deadline last year people wouldn't take maggette for expirings without the pick coming (and that was then projected closer to 4) no way.
