I've gone back and forth with who I think the Sixers should pick if they were able to trade for another top 5 pick. Whether it be through an Okafor or Noel trade. In my opinion, we have a logjam where we have to get rid of one of them when their value is the highest (NBA Draft) and any player (guard) they trade for that is in the top 5 will make our team better.

Murray can shoot, dribble, and score primarily; but is limited on defense due to physical limitations. Buddy can also shoot, has physical tools for defense; but is inconsistent with defense and doesn't do much but score (assists, rebounds, steals). Kris Dunn can give a team defensive versatility, facilitating, can score in a variety of ways and is really athletic; but can be a streaky shooter and people have concerns of him only being successful due to being a ball-dominant player.

All these prospects have their flaws, but which prospects don't have their share of problems. But if it were up to me, I would have to go with Kris Dunn because he can play defense (get steals), has a respectable shot that will improve in consistency with time, and is the most athletic out of the guards. Am I scared of his previous shoulder injuries? Yes. Am I concerned with him being older than one and done players? No.

As for the people concerned about him being ball-dominant as a bad thing for Simmons. Look at how Lebron and Wade co-existed in Miami. Wade isn't the best shooter and is ball-dominant; yet he and Lebron did just fine. This combination is what I hope Simmons and Dunn would become.

This is probably nothing, but Anthony Gargano today intimated that the Sixers are gonna make a major splash on draft night involving Okafor, and refused to go into details about what he meant. Tried to imply he had inside info without revealing anything.

So, yeah... while this is a dead period until draft night, this is all we have to talk about.

Wouldn't surprise me if they have deals in place based on guys falling to certain spots. If they are trading okafor for a package involving Dunn (for example) it doesn't really matter whether Dunn goes 3rd or 8th.

And there's no way the Celtics would agree to a trade for 3 until they know Ingram won't fall

If we got Westbrook and Durant for Okafor and Simmons I'd come around.

Since that won't happen I'm nervous. I don't put it past the Colangelo's to engineer a draft day disaster that will cripple us for the next generation.

Look up Draft Day 1986 if you want to see what I mean. I was really young then, but I remember what a fiasco it was. Ended our chance of competing in Dr. J's final years. Ended our chance of ever building a contender around an amazing young player in Charles Barkley. A ton of young assets flushed down the drain in a failed attempt to "win now".

That is a great deal (mainly for us of course). But I doubt LA moves Russell this soon. I doubt Boston wants Okafor like that, so it is what it is I guess.

Or really, any SG/PG who fits well next to Simmons.
