That’s not a lowball, PHX drastically overpaid.

Its a 2022 1st that is protected, and doesn't go unprotected until 2025. Chances are they will get a pick in the 20s. It just seemed like the market for CP3 would've been higher imo. So I'm surprised they only got 1 pick, and basically just expiring deals out of it.

It's like the box an absolute great Christmas gift came in. You love the gift and think nothing about the box. But your toddler or the dog go on and have an absolute great time playing with the box. Everyone wins.
You want it to be one way....but it's the other way. (Marlo)

And so it’s down to two. If you do Tobias, Thybulle, Milton, and 3 unprotected 1sts (‘22, ‘24, ‘26)... maybe??

Don’t get me wrong, I trade Ben if I have to and just go for it with Harden and Embiid. But it would be nice to be on the correct side of a “Barkley trade” for once.

Smart move by them to say this even if not true. I expect both Russ and Beard to continue tanking their value publicly to try to force deals.

****, imagine if the post-Hinkie front office spent any time at all building up a pile of tradeable assets instead of trading the ones we had for nothing (or worse). We'd actually have an offer to make for a star player that actually wants to be here that didn't involve Simmons.

With how narrow the options are for the Rockets, I'd do Ben and JRich for him straight up, no picks. I think given the circumstances, that should be enough.

Yeah this is the path. Ready to part with everything that isn't nailed down EXCEPT for Ben and Jo.

Sooner or later the Rockets will need to fold. Especially as Harden ramps up the pressure campaign.

I wouldn't. The narrow range works in our favor to not send Ben.

If that's the philly offer, houston will probably take a nets deal. That tobias contract is awful.

Ben simmons is the diference maker in any deal., that's how it is. And that's why we can beat any offer from the nets.

Presti, Masai, and Ainge are the only guys I'd consider taking over Morey.

There's no scenario where they trade with us if Ben isn't involved. I'm sorry, it's just not happening.

I think the Rockets have plenty of leverage. I wouldn't trade a trash deal from us or the Nets.

No way! We had to "win now" by selling the farm for superstars like 33 year old Al Horford and all-star who's never been an all-star Tobias Harris!

However I'm content now that the last 4 years of total ineptitude was necessary for them to humble themselves enough to go get Morey.

Then we wait. Daryl Morey knows better than to repeat the same RUSH THE PROCESS ineptitude of the last 4 years.

That's certainly a possibility, but I think you do "land the plane" if the former MVP and arguably the best fit in the NBA next to Embiid is on the table. Especially if the trade involves one of the worst fits next to Embiid.

Trust me, I'd love to have Embiid, Ben, and Harden, but I think the Rockets would rather let James reconsider his desired locations than give him up for garbage.

If we can get harden for simmons and parts then we so it INSTANTLY

If we can somehow add more and get covington back with him then even better

agreed, I mean one man can dream, but that's how it is.

Morey can lowball them as much as he wants, but ain't happening

I'm not even worried about the nets, pretty sure that the rockets always take a ben simmons deal
