Re: Playoffs!?
I think we’d play very differently if we face this defense. To start, I think we’d see a lot more of Embiid at the elbows being set-up by the Harden PnR.
Better spacing and better cutting also from our guys.
Less democracy, more hierarchy.

Minnesota really needs to start thinking about trading KAT. How much time do you need to give him before it’s clear he’s not the one.

Every time I watch Ant play, I remind myself how horrifically wrong I was about him pre draft.

Re: Playoffs!?
I hope Nuggets destroy the Suns. Because the Suns looked scary in G2 with Booker playing hard and CP3 knocking down mid range.
I believe its gonna be a Suns-Sixers finals with KD-Biid showdown. I’d rather face the Nuggets.

Re: Playoffs!?
Nobody can guard the upper mid to top tier star scorers, except for Trae. I think Harden will adjust from this he was generating high points per possessions on his ISO prior to his breakdown in the Heat series.
Even Clipps with all the praise of their “switchability” is doubling anyone, scrambling and playing zone.
Although mostly in reg season, even Celtics can not stop Embiid. Harden struggles with Smart, but he hunts Al Horford and scores 60+% of his FG% against him.
So yeah, you can have 6’9” of Siakams and OG anunoby, but there’s most of the time an FVV or an Al Horford on the floor that you can hunt.
I know the sample size is small, but ISO points per possessions have been through the roof so far this playoffs.
So in effect we’re watching a lot of great individual performance off scoring or passing up from double teams. Not a hot take.

Re: Playoffs!?
Is Gobert even a good all around defender? I feel like he's good at one on one defense against Cs, but he's often out of position on team defense.

Re: Playoffs!?
Maybe this is a dumb question. But why do they let Sixers play earlier than the Celtics. If both Sixers and Celts swept their opponents, wont Sixers have more days rest?

I'm fine with that.
Just wish they'd not have Sixer games before 7pm
These 1pm games are brutal, 3am in Aus

I’m still hoping there’s a KAT/Siakim trade in this summer. Both teams are in need of a shakeup and it would be a win/win trade imo.

Kobble probably still thinks KAT is a superstar...

Re: Playoffs!?
I'm actually wondering what it is that is truly holding Minnesota back? Anthony Edwards is supremely talented, Rudy Gobert is a solid center, KAT is one of the premier scoring bigs in the game, they have solid role players in Conley, Anderson, Prince, Reid, and McDaniels. It's just baffling how they are only an 8th seed. Is it lack of good coaching? Management? Injuries? Or a combination of the three? They just aren't that good as a team, yet they are loaded with talent and upside...Especially Ant.

Well Towns missed almost the whole season
West is really weird this year, run this season again and everyone could be in completely different spots.

First year adjusting to a very different group, and Towns was hurt for much of the year. If they keep this group together and hand the reins to Edwards next season, and he matures and grows as a player, it might be a different story.
Or it won't.

Re: Playoffs!?
The Denver/Minnesota is a different series if the Wolves have McDaniels & Reid. McDaniels would be playing elite defense against Murray & Reid provides some spacing & pressure for Jokic to guard in space.

Maybe in the Regular Season, but in the playoffs he is not, 10.5 PPG on 36.5% TS so far aganst Nuggets, and it's not like Nuggets are a defensive powerhouse lol

Re: Playoffs!?
Despite not having Green and Payton, I'm expecting a bloodbath by the Warriors today. Curry scores 50 and they slaughter them by 20.
