It’s not even debatable
I'm not sure which roster is best but if you're going to compare this way, you've gotta mention that Embiid and Maxey this year are the best versions of themselves (pre-injury Joel was at least).
It's not debatable. Harden is a worthless choke artist. Who forced Montrez and Tucker on this franchise. Both are super flawed 1 way players that prevented better signings. Melton is a very inconsistent and timid shooter who is small and overrated defensively. This roster is deeper. Lowry does more things than last year's Melton(who couldn't cut it as a starter then). Melton a better defender, not smarter, can't run an offense and I trust Kyle to take open shots.... Celtics dared Melton to and he choked while PJ refused. Hield is a shooter that shouldn't have ever been benched, he should've been further featured. Oubre is everything. Payne is a great offensive backup.
You have quick trigger shooting everywhere, less offensive liabilities, more movers off ball, more athleticism, more 2 way wings, less predictable offense without Harden choking. All of these things permit Joel and Maxey to be their best selves. The only thing this roster is really missing is a backup center, But they should have great offense without one... That's probably my biggest problem with this Nurse. Joel is probably more healthy than he has been for a big series in this one that he had been for Rivers.... Except the Toronto series... Which was never in doubt
Only reason he even played Buddy in this game is because it was a blowout early.
