3-way trade:
Sixers get KD
Heat get PG
Suns get Jimmy
add picks and other players accordingly

If you could unpack how that could be possible I'd love to hear it

Yabu, 26 OKC, 28 LAC for 25 PHI

Is what I'd offer.

Presti gets more cracks at it down the line and helps his team try and win their first title right now.

It's somewhat of an overpay for the Sixers, but they can't miss out on their pick in this draft IMO.

The Process years were far more enjoyable than the past season and a half.

I honestly feel like the picks are not needed with the way that Yabu is playing. call me a homer, but dude is balling, he is (IMO) the exact type of player that i'd want to complement a string-bean like Chet. And you get to sign him for his prime at what will probably be a good market (MLE money).

Maybe Yabu + a pick with the condition that OKC only gets the pick if Yabu is not resigned by OKC. So if they cut ties/get out bid, then they get one of those picks... but if they like him and keep him it was straight up.

If we get our pick back, we had better send Maxey on a 3 month medical leave to heal his... um... broken heart.

Or, I mean, they could just wise up and tank.

Stop thinking that these has beens are gonna come back and lift them to victory.

I feel like yall don't really remember the real dank times of the process.....

I agree these last TWO seasons harken back to the Eddie Jordan - Doug Collins eras of no hope but the highs of the last 5 or so years despite it all are going to be something you take for granted imo.

I have always said that the fact that we are even allowed to be let down by second round exits as a "legit" contender isn't the end of the world. It could and it has be worse imo.

AGAIN it is time more than likely to move on and try something new especially if dudes like Luka can get moved lol but I still don't think yall are truly ready lol. I can't wait for the inevitable "man McCain sucks balls, fire <Insert new Coach here>, GM sucks....man we should have never traded so and so" posts as we struggle to be a play in team still.

Someone one reliable tweeted a week back that it is not possible to require that pick because it, or what it becomes when it is actually delivered, is tied up in other deals, so it is not possible to re-acquire it or modify protections.

Okay, so I've reality checked myself into realizing Daryl Morey isn't going to pull a SAS and tank for Tim Duncan to pair with David Robinson. (although it would be brilliant)

Instead, he's going to go all in on his original plan that we will be healthy during the playoffs. SO at the trade deadline he is going to leverage a three for 1 to try to get us the best player available to win this year (lol)

KJ (8m) + Drummond (5m) + Jackson (2m)= 15m + available picks.

Who do they cash in for at the deadline? (KO could be added in one of these spots to push us up to 18-22M)

Canidates that come to mind:
Grayson Allen (ug)
Deandre Hunter (eh)
C. Johnson (eh)
P.Williams (eh, cheapest asset wise?)
J.Smith / Horton-Tucker
Toppin
Brogdon
Smart (eh)

To be honest I don't really like much of the list. Just trying to think outside my comfort zone.

It'll be totally expected for everyone to freak out with the "I told ya so's" and "we shoulda traded" when MCcain does return next season for him to struggle in a bench role averaging 6 points per game for the first few weeks of the year. They all did it this year when Maxey got off to his slow start despite dropping 45 on Indy in the third game of the season.

They cannot adjust the protections on the pick because they also owe a future pick to BKN.

But they can acquire the whole pick back, as that does not materially affect the owed pick to BKN.

I want George Paul outta here. Never wanted him....However, trading a big FA less than a year after signing him is a bad look to other future Fa.

ATL gets George, Gordon, and Jaylin Williams
OKC gets Yabusele, Larry Nance, and 28 LAC 1st
PHI gets Daniels, Capela, Bogdanovic, and 25 PHI 1st

There. All settled.

Keep Yabusele forever. Give him PG's contract.

I love Yabu also but if we're not sure we can resign him then deal him for value now. We can't just lose him for nothing after a write-off season.

I would hope we can at least get a late first for him.

A rebuild is better than this because you can just stop paying attention during a rebuild. During the process years there's really only two days of the entire calendar you need to pay attention to the Sixers. Lottery night and draft night. Other than that, just forget about the Sixers and pretend they don't exist until they are good enough again.

Now they are in this weird middle ground where they aren't good enough to win a championship, but not quite bad enough to just totally forget about them.

It's like dating a girl who is sometimes warm and sweet and sometimes crazy and you keep waffling on if you want to break up with her, and you're like I wish she was crazy all the time because it would make breaking up so much easier.

Yabu said he wants to stay on the Sixers, that's enough for me. These players wouldn't lie to me.

Mouthpiece Pompey writes that the Sixers should keep George. I don't think he's getting moved
