Probably Doc really wants Ben back.

Or Doc is just saying it so Sixers dont have to sell Ben cheaply because he’s wanted

If only there was a way to play back the video, right?

I don't even care about what Doc said, he wasn't wrong. It's clear that he's on an apology tour for Ben now, especially with camp starting next week and Woj putting out a recycled story. Seems a bit concerning regarding trade considerations.

I think he definitely doing some damage control to help the franchise but I bet it’s mostly that he genuinely feels bad about it. He pretty clearly understands that Ben has a ton of confidence issues and went out of his way to build Ben up during the year. What he said clearly hurt Ben’s feelings and I’m sure Doc feels bad that he didn’t handle it behind closed doors rather than doing it in public.

There is no use trying to salvage this, as there's no coming back. That being said, it takes some balls to go on the media, and say what we heard wasn't what we heard Doc said about Ben lol.

So Doc is saying that him saying the I don't know right know part ,was him just continuing to say I'm not going to answer that question.... I see his point, and that might be the case, but that's not how Ben perceived it. Might have been misconstrued but at this point the damage is done.

Make it stop... It's really time to just **** move on.

I agree that want this over and everyone to move on but it’s also why Klutch will get their way here. Part of me wants the Sixers to play hardball but more and more I just want to say **** it, trade for Sexton or someone, and call it a day. If that’s how a fan feels, imagine how exhausting it will be for Doc, Morey, Embiid, etc who are facing real pressure to get this situation resolved. Morey might have the balls to stick to his guns but at some point the pressure within the organization will just be too much.

If its Embiid doing primadona moves, I’d be infuriated.

But it’s Ben Simmons. carry on.

We’d be fine with or without him.

Just hope we get something good in return, which could be hundreds of possible trades that will just take up my mental real estate.

As crazy as Kyrie is, this would have been interesting.

I would do that trade in a nanosecond. Everyone can complain and make fun of Kyrie, but he would take us to a completely different level. There's no way it would be one for one. Kyrie is a different tier from Ben.

I have no interest in Kyrie the personality or his knees. HOWEVER, the talent mesh of Kyrie and Jo is clearly championship level. Very interesting.

The nets would be the prohibitive favorites still with the best offensive player in the league, the best defensive perimeter player in the league, and the best overall player in the league in KD all on the same team.

I think the worst part of this is in the event we get Ben come "buy in", Doc will undoubtedly say "yes, you're the PG, Ben" instead of getting real with him and turning him into a very good passing stretch big man. So now we'll be afraid of upsetting him and his perceived role for an entire year (or as long as it takes to find a trade partner).
