Do you guys think the NBA fixes the lottery?

Part of me wants to think that's just conspiracy theory nonsense but part of me could also definitely see why it would be in their best interest to select where teams go in the order.

My guess is
Lakers 2nd worst record
We have 4th worst record
Sacro 5th worst record.

Not sure the odds, but I wouldn't mind just getting in top 3 and getting Lakers next year. We could use that pick and our pick which should be in the teens to trade this summer for a star quality player and try to sign a nice FA. Or trade our firsts in the next couple years, while keeping the Lakers/Kings picks. Package with the enormous amount of 2nds we have.

I'm more in favor of having a 2018 unprotected. Just because it's unprotected :-) but also because otherwise, next seasons our starting five could exist out of 3,5 rookies. That's too much to me

Me as well sir. Mostly because if L.A. keeps this years pick, they will likely have to take a Guard or a SF. Both of whom they do not need. So if they have to once again have a ever changing starting Line-up, they will again have a horrible record. And another reason why I want their 2018 1st rounder is because it gives us another season to see IF...finally Joel Embiid can stay healthy and play a complete season. Cause if he can't, then I want us to use that 1st rounder on a Big like Ayton, or the Westtown High School kid..Mohamed Bamba.

I know everyone is totally in love with Joel, as am I. But, we cannot invest huge money in a guy if he only is ever going to play 40-50 games, and have a minute restriction on him. No matter what his stats are.

I want the Lakers pick this year. It's better to have a top 5 pick in a better draft. People are just trying to come to grips that it's likely we won't get the pick this year. But it's better if we do get it this year.

Of course but my number one concern is our own pick. We have a ton of terrible outcomes possible where we sit right now. We need to find a way to move up to 3rd and have the kings move to 4th/5th.

I get there is a lot of potential in this draft but it really is a crapshoot most years that you don't know until a few years down the line which draft is actually deeper.

The only thing that gives me hesitation about just waiting for next year is if the Lakers trade their 2019 pick for someone like Paul George and wind up in the late lottery

Sure it's definitely better to get it this year. And we still might!

45.2% chance that we do still get the pick, so it's not much more likely that we won't get it this season. Obviously it's better to have the fourth or fifth pick now than waiting another year since **** happens, however, the Lakers will still likely suck next season and Doncic(/Alton) would be considered possible top pick in this draft.

Big night! Winnable games for Magic, Pelicans and maybe even T'Wolves.

It's getting a possible #1 pick instead of a #4 at best.
Tbh, I really don't understand why people should select #4.

Because a lot can happen in a year, you'd be giving them a top 3 pick this year, and even if they have the worst record in the league next year the pick would still have pretty good odds of being #4 anyway.

If the King get two top 10 picks on the next draft how far they can improve?

How has their drafting been recently? I don't see them being even close to good for a long time.

Not so good, but they drafted Cousins right? lol In one stacked draft maybe the luck is on their side

I wouldn't be surprised if they took Josh Hart in the Top 10.

The Cousins pick was 2 gms and an owner ago.

Last year literally no one projected in the top 20 worked out for them besides Wade Baldwin, which is probably why they traded back and took someone no one had going in the top 20. Will be interesting to see how agents handle them this year.
