3 for 5 & 21.
Pick 21 offers several players that fit the Morey archetype
Names to watch include Sorber, Rasheer Fleming, and Yaxel Lendeborg.
Of the three, Rasheer and Yaxel may be better positioned to contribute early, as they’re more polished at this stage in their development.
There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.

Gladly trade down with Utah if we get 5&21 in return.

Short clip utilized by the Ringer article. This is not to down Harper. The bigger point is every scout feels Harper is the better prospect and better driver and ballhandler. However, just watch what happened even to Harper when he had to face his man and then have 2 guys right behind his man walling off the lane. Harper could do nothing and had to settle for bad jumpers or jumpers that he missed badly. I mean, that's literally the Ace Bailey clips used by everyone to ding his offensive ability. I also didn't see Harper using the 3 man attention to go find easy passes to teammates, wonder why.
Let's look at just a few frames here:
Play 1
4-second marker - just look at that junk. Harper's got 3 guys between him and the basket so he can't driver. #9 stumbles around like a drunkard and even if he hadn't there's no path for a pass or lob. #24 is standing in no-man's land at the opposite elbow where there's 4 defenders within 2 steps of him. #25 is left open at the arc 3pt% avg was like 25%; gee I wonder why he's open. Ace was covered up. Every player on Rutgers is on the same side of the court.
10 second marker - Harper pulls it out - so they run run a double screen or fake a double screen (not sure what they wanted to do). It doesn't work b/c one defender switches off and there's still a guy camping the paint b/c he's given #25 the Ben Simmons behind the arc treatment. Harper can't go anywhere; meanwhile the two screeners bunch up while lazily moving around the court. So now they dump it over to Ace who immediately faces a double team with the shot clock inside 10 secs - he looks to do an inlet pass to #9 but he's still trudging around and doesn't rush to get into a post-up position. So Ace kicks it back to the top of the key where they dump it to Harper about 6 feet behind the arc with no time left and he jacks a bad 3.
Play 2
28- second marker - Semi-transition off a steal. #1 isn't even being covered as he cuts to the basket along the baseline but he also isn't even looking at Harper for a pass, good job. The defense has 3 guys all spying Harper b/c 2 teammates ran to the paint on opposite sides. Harper takes an early, but open, 3 pt shot and misses. A ding on Harper in that #5 was setting an off-ball screen for Bailey who was open on the arc and Dylan didn't make the pass.
Play 3
36 - second marker - Harper gets the ball on the far side and again EVERY teammate is lined up on the far side with him. The opponent doesn't even have to cover half the freaking court. Harper's gonna drive left and shocker has no where to go with 4 guys all camped at the paint b/c every other Rutgers player is on the far side behind them so they're all effectively covered. Harper makes a sick move faking his man right and going back left to drive. Buuuuuut, his center who had walled off decides he'll slip off his block to drop into the paint near the free throw line not realizing that our favorite useless player #25 has decided to cut to the lane at the same time so now Harper is boxed in by his beaten man on the trail; the defender on the center fronts him and he can't pass to the center b/c #25 decided to bring his defender into the paint for a party. Dylan turns it over kicking the ball with his shoe.
Play 4
53 -second marker - Harper steals the ball, but doesn't push the pace (not that it would matter if he did). He decides early he's gonna try to attack the unsettled defense before it can set. Unfortunately for him #25 is on the floor and his man Ben Simmons'd him again camping the paint and cutting off the lane that Harper had seen. Harper tries to press into the 5 on 1 regardless and gets stripped. Harper may have had Bailey on a lob; but either didn't see it or just decided not to try the pass.
Just look at those 4 plays and watch how absolutely pathetic those teammates were and that coaching staff was. Dylan Harper is the hands down 2nd best player and Bodner and Kyle would tell you it's leagues apart from Bailey. Yet when he got the same kind of looks Bailey got from defenses he struggled too.
:::EDIT::: I didn't even make the connection that Ben wore #25 (I have tried to purge all memories of Ben from my head) and had totally just nicknamed #25 Ben Simmons b/c he can't shoot and the opposing defenses left him wide open.

I think he’s referring to this part of the article. If you read between the lines, it seems teams are uncertain about choosing between VJ and Ace at the No. 3 spot. And since Tre is reportedly “in the mix,” it’s possible he’s the reason the Sixers are considering trading down.
Fischer indicates that rival teams with interest in trading for the No. 3 pick are split over whether Rutgers forward Ace Bailey or Baylor guard V.J. Edgecombe is the better selection. He adds that Texas guard Tre Johnson may also be in that mix.

It's in our best interest to make it known we're considering moving to #5 or even further down. That could extort some picks from Charlotte along with #4 and allow us to get our guy anyway.

Trade down and get an extra pick to get Nique Clifford who could end up being better than all of these guys.

Might I just say the stats show Ace hit both mid rangers (46%) and a high volume of contested 3s (44%) at a NBA all star rate. Sooooo.... No need to choose... It's Ace guys

Fair breakdown. I like Harper a lot, but some in this thread hit Ace for only going right, when I've studied Harper highly favoring his left hand as well, including added that split off the pick and roll between defenders to be able to keep his left hand dribble. I would even say Cooper Flagg is stronger driving with his off hand than Parker at this point. He needs to get a lot stronger going right in the NBA, shooting and playmaking too. He can do it, but has work to do.
