Yeah but you can't keep making these excuses that "X didn't happen, but still" when X is liable to happen on any night. The team is so inconsistent it's sickening.

The margin of victory is irrelevant compared to the greater point.

The game became of predominantly halfcourt game in crunchtime and they went on a 10-0 run to beat us. That's what the playoffs have looked look for us for the past two years and what's it probably going to look like this year. We're not built for playoff success.

Yeah because Embiid throws up games like this all the time. Oh wait. Just stop

The Simmons/Embiid duo is inconsistent. You wouldn't be shocked if either of them throws up a single-digit game on any given night.

Embiid has thrown up a single digit game maybe once before ever so yeah I’d be shocked.

I don't even care about this one. Typical Raptors nonsense. I was ready to see the new-and-improved Siakam, but looks like the same bull in a china shop random charges and spinning bank shot guy from last year. If Embiid plays 20% of his typical game we win.

I said you wouldn't be shocked if either of them threw up a single-digit game. They both come to play as a duo very rarely.

Our best players also not playing tonight...but whatever. GG 6ers.

Our best player shot 0 for 11 with 4 TOs and 0 for 3 from the line, and after he hadn't failed to score in double figures a single time the last 3 years he scored zero pts total tonight. Think that's a worse night than Lowry had for you all.

This is life until the playoffs. They will usually simply out talent the bad/mediocre teams. They will usually struggle with the good teams because their offense is terrible.

Rain, hail, shine, hurricane, earthquake, alien attack or zombie apocalypse, I'm not missing golf on Tuesdays again :banghead:

Embiid, get in the game.

Ben, shoot the damned ball and attack the rim. You're making Pascal look like the MVP. Do what he does.

Embiid needs to look in mirror and start playing like a big man. He needs to back gasol down and use footwork to score on him. Enough of this ****.

Its whatever i literally have 0 expectations for this team anymore. Toronto is a joke and we lose to them. Unreal. Toronto nothin but a bunch of over achieving scrubs that will fade in playoffs without kawhi there to carry their bum asses

Why aren't the beat reporters hounding Brett about how his refusal to run pick and roll is making our guys have to work so much harder for buckets?

We need a Kate Fagan type

Embiid and Simmons have been in the league too long to be making mistakes like that at the end of the game. Very disappointed in those turnovers. Particularly Ben’s last 2 on the lob to Harris and the bizarre 3 attempt with 5 seconds left.

This, the Raptors weren't all that concerned with Simmons playing in transition because they have the athletes to get back regardless, their gameplan was to stop Embiid with hard doubles and throw him off his rhythm. They can do that because Brown doesn't run any simple plays to get Embiid a basket, and you almost never see Ben & Embiid run any kind of action together. Ben's limitations in a halfcourt game will always hurt his teammates, he can get his assists just because of how much he has the ball, but the better teams can and will make Embiid's life difficult.

If Simmons even had a pullup mid-range shot you could run the same plays for him that had FVV getting open so often, but you can't even do that because he's afraid to score.

Toronto definitely has real estate in Jo's head. Hate to say it, but we better not face them in the playoffs, we'll get bent over.

I'm not sure what's up with this team, Embiid or Simmons. A lot has to do with the odd pieces that have been jumbled together. Poor player development in Simmons (not having a jumper), Embiid not having a go-to move, working on turnovers, and conditioning. I think we messed up on the draft too. I don't have high expectations for this team. I wouldn't be surprised if we made the finals but it'll be inspite of ourselves. At this point, it's just not fun basketball to watch. Turn on the Mavs, that fun to watch. Turn on the raps, yup it's fun. Turn on the lakers, fun. Rockets, sorry, that's not fun, but you get the point. It's just meah at this point. I'm done getting so caught up in this team, until there are changes either from Ben, Jo, or Brett and his stubborness. But hey, C'est la vie

Yeah Embiid and Simmons are just not growing to the degree that it makes this team competitive against the best teams in the league. Embiid should be hovering around 25/15 a night, and Simmons 20/8/10. Instead they fluctuate wildly.
