The fit between Ben and Zion is so bad, I don't see a way the Pels make a Ben-based Ingram deal.
You would have to hope they fire Griffin, hold Zion out for the year, and decide to tank it up so they become interested in a bunch of Minnesota picks.
I never said that Ben makes any sense for NO. Matter of fact, im saying everywhere that three team trade with Wolves Sixers and Pelicans make sense for everybody.
I am also on the Ingram train. To get him, it’s either the Kings or the Wolves as the third team. If we’re lucky, it becomes a bidding war and we squeeze a swap or something else that’s tangible out of it too. Kings with their talk of firing the coach, and Minnesota with the new owners and with Towns growing restless.

If I was the GM who moved Lillard, it’s definitely a reset with CJ following
Morey seems to know that & why the ask is so heavy with other teams

I thought they didn't own their pick this year? Could be wrong, seems like a great year to make the move for Simmons/Dame, see what happens, and then dump everyone in the offseason if it doesn't/when it doesn't work well. I think CJs value would increase post dame trade.

Three team trade incoming with Simmons to Minnesota

The reason I say this is because If Morey waits to nba tread deadline in feb. Teams like Sacramento Minnesota pelicans who all own their 2022 first round pick. Really don’t want to pickup a players like Simmons when they are so down in the standings.
Acquiring Simmons in feb 2022 may mean the team may win an extra 2-3 games. That could be the difference between being able to draft in the top 3 vs top 6/7. Just a couple of games won can affect draft status big time. Ask okc last season. They won a couple of games and shifted down to 6 in the draft.

The Bulls traded for Vuc at the deadline, Wolves traded for Russell the year before, these teams have haven't made the playoffs in a while sometimes make trades for guys to get some momentum going. Is that smart, maybe not, but there's a reason why they haven't made the playoffs in a while.

Maybe you can get this done without the 1st? But I wouldn't let that nitpick stop this deal.

So do a three way where they get picks from the Wolves or someone like that for Ingram. Now they're even worse, congrats.

Pels first is lottery protected this season
Keep going as they are, keep the pick and build around Zion, Ingram, Val and whoever they pick
Or trade the pick with Ingram for a top player
Etc
Lots of options but changes just for the sake of it & losing your pick would be dumb
