I just don't think it's worth burning the Hornets pick for such a small mpg player.

And that isn't enough to get you any valuable guy, especially a center because a lot of teams need back up centers right now (Brooklyn, Portland, Denver, Milwaukee, etc). Vanderbilt is getting coveted by several teams, so the same applies to him.

Thybulle and a top 35 pick should get you a valuable rotation piece.

A two way wing or backup Center. We also have the 2029 1st round pick we can and should trade, if necessary.

No excuses for the fraud GM.

we know we need one of those types of players, I'm asking you for an example of someone we can get with that...

We have the 2029 pick, yeah, but other contending teams have picks that convey earlier which makes them more valuable.

This is all great, but it just feels like we do such a **** job developing our own talent, and then waste assets on getting similar players, that we could have developed on our own. So many players like that. Mikal Bridges, Jerami Grant, Christian Wood, Thybulle who is still an excellent defender, and Paul Reed.

With Doc at the helm no player will truly develop like they should.

We actually need both.

The Magic have 5 Centers. The Warriors are apparently interested in Thybulle....I'd consider someone like Jamychal Green.

Jakob Poletl or Zach Collins with the Spurs.

I would take Marvin Bagley. They would have to take back Furkan and/or House in a trade.

Kelly Olynyk or Vanderbilt.

How bout Jae Crowder?

I can keep going....there are plenty of players you can get. We're not looking for all-stars.

Vanderbilt is gonna cost a lot more than a second and Thybulle, same with Poetl or Collins. The Spurs don't have an incentive to move those guys unless they get a good return for them because they need to stay above the floor.

Bagley is almost out of the league but i guess we can get him. Olynyk is probably going to test the waivers.

Jae Crowder has interest from other contenders and then we go back to the issue of what we can offer, unless you want to waste both picks on him

I don't know what Thybulle is actually worth. We could also throw in Springer.

Honestly, it's for the best. The one guy I did want who eventually ended up here, Myles Powell, shrunk 3 inches and missed every shot when he put on the Sixers uniform. I suppose some things weren't meant to be.

I believe Vanderbilt is worth it. He can defend big wings and play pf and center. We can grab another big body or wing from the buyout

This organization is terrible with developing players. Need a complete overhaul . No reason why we even should of had to give up a first for Melton if sixers actually could develop. Was hoping springer would be further alone so he could replace some of Matisse mins guarding bigger guards like the Lavines ,Beals and Shai....Maxey & Melton are too small and Harden and Shake are too slow.

I think Doc sees Reed as too chaotic and out of control to play at all, much less the 4. I think Vanderbilt could play with Joel. He has very good handles for his position and really doesn't make a ton of mistakes (from what I've seen). Above all, he provides a service this team desperately needs: rebounding. I don't think we'll get murdered on the boards as much with Vanderbilt in the game.

Reed is too chaotic, its partly because he’s trying to do too much with too little playing time. I think he’s playing for his next contract than looking to help us win a championship.
There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.

Vanderbilt being able to play with Biid is the big deal of it all IMO.

Will give us that Ben/Biid pairing but without the ego of needing to be a PG and at least looking at the rim lol.

If we add Springer to the deal for Vanderbilt, the Jazz have to send another guy our way or we need a third team.

Vanderbilt makes $300.000 more than Thybulle right now.

Keep in mind Josh Harris wanting to stay below the tax too
