Well, just showing the max we can offer.

I like doing all in move for OG, then leave us some cap for maxey and Oubre or Tobi re-sign.

Gordon Hayward for Morris, Korkmaz, KJ Martin and 2 seconds?

Would love to add GH to our team, he can be a facilitator too, and would make our team even more versatile.

Maxey/Pat Bev
Hayward/Melton
Oubre/Batum
Harris/Covington
Embiid/Reed

Think we could compete with something like this.

Edit: Noticed we're 7 million short in salary to match GH's, so would probably have to add Springer in the deal + Bamba

I like the idea of targeting Hayward since he'll cost the least. However matching his salary for a trade is a problem without including Tobias, which we're not going to do.

Think we need to send Morris + Kork + House + Bamba, and a 4 for 1 deal is tough.

We just did a 4 for 2, so we have the depth

Maxey/Pat Bev
Hayward/Melton
Oubre/Batum
Harris/Covington
Embiid/Reed

And we still could have Springer or House and probably a vet that's available at the trade deadline.
Come play-off time, we probably also cut Beverly and Reed's minutes (I can see us play with Batum or Cov at the 5 for stretches).

So not doing the trade because you want to keep Kork or House (which are the 2 only players that sometimes get some minutes) would be a pitty

The problem isn't us not wanting to trade those guys. The problem is most teams don't want 4 players back for 1 because they don't have the roster space for them. The most realistic way it happens is a couple of those guys get sent to a 3rd team.

Hayward makes too much to be a trade target. Even if you're just stacking our useless guys (Morris, House, Korkmaz, Bamba), I think you'd be getting up towards that 2nd apron just by adding minimum guys back onto the roster.

He might be worth watching in the buyout market though...

I get that. Its just moving numerous 1sts and assets for a role player, all be it a very good one, with a sizeable injury history and then paying him the max is really tough - I don't know if I can get there. He's a really nice archetype of a player and would fit like a glove but this kind of acquisition runs a bit antithetical to my preferred roster construction process.

Yeah, its not ideal. Honestly in reality, we can just sign OG via FA, since he sounds like he’s gonna be UFA.

I wouldnt worry so much about the cap. I think if you reach a certain threshold of being a contender, cap wouldnt matter and owners would be willing to shell out money to pay tax. And I think we’d get that with our team with OG.

I love Bridges, but giving up assets for him would stick in my craw because of the obvious.

It's a lot to offer, but you gotta at least make the call.

Roco and what to make DeRozan?

Would one first or 2 seconds do it for a rental? Or DeRozan and Lavine for all our expiring and picks?

Would you guys do a Morris, Batum, Korkmaz, DHJ and 2026 OKC 1st round pick plus three 2nd rounders for Lavine?

You can probably turn right around and trade LaVine again for more than that. Chicago would not do it.

But the time to trade for LaVine is past.

No its now, his value is really low.

They’ll write off Lavine’s contract and have a pick. Its not that cheap

If the Bulls continue to lose, LaVines value will continue to fall.
