Re: Draft Day Shenanigans (IV)
Kon Kneuppel locked in at #4 to Hornets! We should probably take him at #3 considering his unbelievable 10.8 BPM, and how well he played in 2 or 3 games without Flagg. He could be a true #1 option.

If the Hornets trying to trade down they think the 76ers are taking VJ.

All we hear is nonstop propaganda about how "VJ is a hard worker", meanwhile his offensive skills are rudimentary at best and he's more than a year older than Ace and some other top freshman.
So if he's been working so damn hard, why can't he handle, dribble, create shots and finish?
because he got better of the course of his HS career and this college season...
went from an unknown to a 5 star for example
Agree.
He’s already made real strides, he improved his shooting mechanics (confirmed by his coach) and shot 37% from three and 45% from the field over his last 21 games. Also shot a lot better on his FTr, rim fg% and mid range in his last 16 games. He’s also shown clear progress with his handle. While he played more like an off-ball wing during early in his HS career, on the EYBL circuit several scouts noted his improved ballhandling and even saw potential for him to play point guard down the line, Givony also had the same sentiment.
What sets VJ apart is that his weaknesses don’t come from a low baseline like most prospects. Mitchell was once criticized for settling too much for jumpers instead of attacking the paint. SGA was knocked for poor mechanics and off-the-dribble shooting, some even compared him to Elfrid Payton. Oladipo had questions about his shot creation and was likened to Tony Allen.
What I like about VJ is that he can already be a high-impact contributor, and he still has real upside. He’s made visible improvements and the foundation is there for him to grow into a much bigger player down the line.

Dread it. Run from it. Destiny still arrives.

Re: Draft Day Shenanigans (IV)
taking VJ is boring for the drama purposes of the draft but it is what it is. Actual guard depth that isn't a bunch of old corpses at the very least

When Philly trades the pick and Maxey to Boston for Jaylen Brown...
That would pretty much do it.
My two fears tonight:
1a. Morey trades #3 in any kind of win-now move not bringing back a lottery pick or even future picks.
1b. Ace Bailey is actually the pick.
If Bailey is the pick, I'll live with it and support it, but I just won't feel great about the chance that it will end well.

Re: Draft Day Shenanigans (IV)
Ok, the two guys I want are VJ (11.4 BPM) or Kon (10.8 BPM). Those are the best options for us to stick and pick at #3.

Re: Draft Day Shenanigans (IV)
This is gonna be so boring when they just draft VJ, even if it's the right move.
No early news on Drummond or Oubre picking up their options, so the theorized Herb Jones trade back feels extremely unlikely.

Agree 100%
The smaller, less pedigreed, older prospect VJ is much more likely to improve his game than the bigger, more highly touted prospect who is one year younger in Ace.

Ace is going to be a great villain to root against whenever he shows up at Wells Fargo with the away team.

Morey also said he'd take offers all the way up to the pick. I don't know who to believe lol
If he got a great offer, I doubt he would say “I would take it but I already told Shams I was keeping the pick.” I think the Sixers are just putting out there that with the deals on the table, they are keeping the pick. Everybody knows who will be available with the third pick, so there shouldn’t be a rush of newfound interest once Harper comes off the board.

I don't get angry bruh. I just let the numbers decide without any further analysis. The angry and emotional ones can't do math.

Highly touted by who? His mom?
