Now for the $60,000 question...Why didn't you wear it for all 3 games????

Totally agree, with every ounce of my heart and brain.

Reggie Evans, best player alive, since the best player retired.

Yup. Carney played him well. Not only can he contest his shots with how quick he gets off his feet, but he can chase him off screens as well.

The Suns are down 14 at the half. This series *might* make it to 5 games if the Suns are lucky.

Speaking of the Suns, they have 8 players under contract for next season and a little over $70MIL committed in salary. Based on the Kurt Thomas trade last year, the Suns owner is going to require that they ditch salary again. Who can they move?

Nash: 2 years/$25MIL
Shaq: 2 years/$40MIL
Amare: 2 years/$31MIL
Diaw: 4 years/$36MIL
Barbosa: 4 years/$26MIL
Bell: 2 years/$11MIL
Hill: 1 year/$2MIL
Tucker: 3 years/$4MIL
Strawberry: 1 year/$700k

Shaq is untradeable at this point. Nash is the face of that franchise and isn't going anywhere. Amare is a stud an extremely unlikely to get moved.

So who's left that they can ditch for salary to get under the tax? Diaw is untradeable. Hill, Tucker, and Strawberry all have too small of salaries in order to help them financially. So my guess is that the Sixers could probably get Barbosa or Bell (not interested in Bell) for free. The Suns are in a bad spot. Having a huge payroll, a team with aging stars, and a cheap owner is not a good combo.

No way we get Barbosa for free.

I just saw that and he's right. He's the only guy who is talking about what the Sixers are doing right and not about what the Pistons did wrong.

So we're just about halfway thru the 3rd quarter and the Spurs are now up 20 points over the Suns and the home fans are now booing the home team.

I'm telling, the Suns will NEED to do something to shake this roster up both financially and structurally. I wonder if Kerr's job is on the line now that he's doomed this franchise??

Gold, as usual.

Gotta love the TGP game thread with the Knux-Future recap!

Agree, we sometimes forget with all the noise that there are some great posters on this board- especially the ones who see the world from a slightly different angle.

Yeah sir I agree with you on the Suns. And if they do get bounced rather easily in round 1, even if it is to the Spurs. I could easily see the Suns HOPING they can try to fleece Philly into dealing Dalembert to them. They need some defense and shot-blocking bad. I hate to say it but the Shaq trade is looking like a total Bust!

But, try and wish as they may. I see no chance at them getting Dalembert. Cause Amare as stated won't be dealt. And Philly would rather cut off their peckers before taking Shaq back in a deal, or Diaw. Even if the Suns offered Barbosa and say both 1st rounders this year and 2 extra 1st rounders in future years, Philly would still laugh it off :-)

The Suns don't even have first rounders to offer up since they traded Kurt Thomas and 2 future firsts to Seattle for cap space last summer. Gotta love that ownership.

How bad has tonight gone in Phoenix? There's 9:20 left in the game and the fans are excited and making noise because the Suns have finally cut the Spurs lead down to 15.

The Suns defense is beyond terrible.

Could you imagine a line-up of

Lou-Barbosa-Iguodala-Thad-Sam

Talk about a fast team that can drive the ball. I guess you could mix in Carney if you ever needed to get even faster...

Who is faster- Carney, Lou or Barbosa?

Ahh, and the more I watch the Spurs demolish the Suns... the more I think D'Antoni is going to be the fall guy in Phoenix. Obviously Kerr wants a defensive, half-court squad and D'Antoni's system doesn't mesh with that.

I think D'Antoni is one of the best coaches in the league and it would be a shame if he gets hosed because of this ridiculous Shaq trade.

I think if there will be one lasting memory from this series it will be the most surprising on... the entire arena chanting:

REGGIE...REGGIE...REGGIE!

I wonder if Suns' fans vomit every time Kurt Thomas scores for the Spurs. I mean can you imagine if the Sixers traded Sam Dalembert and two first round picks for a trade exemption that will never get used and then Dalembert comes back and is part of the team that sweeps us out of the 1st Rd?? 610's phone lines would blow up.
