According to Woj, now Porzingis may be available.

The Warriors have induced mass hysteria in the Association

Anyway, with all the protections it's hard to work out a trade now but I think BC ought to be offering every allowable 1st between 2018 and 2022 plus eating Noah and Thomas. There are probably a few teams who can still beat that, but it's worth the effort. This team would be stupid:

Fultz/Bayless/McConnell
Covington/TLC/Stauskas
Simmons/Thomas/Anderson
Porzingis/Saric/Long
Embiid/Holmes/Noah

Ok guys, here is the Trade because (P) Jackson loves (J) Jackson sooooo much:

we took Jackson at one and wait for the Lakers take Ball.
Than.....

PHI out: Jackson
PHI in: #3 plus LAL18 (or SAC19)

BOS in: Porz
BOS out: #3 plus LAL18 (or SAC 19)

NYK in: Josh Jackson
NYK out: Porz

End of the Draft Day :D :D :D

I'd offer Roco Saric plus a first. That would be my best offer.

I'm not paying what it takes to get Porzingis. He's marginalized here anyway because he shouldn't start in front of Embiid at CE or Simmons at PF. Don't want to move Simmons to SF either.

The Knicks are becoming the Sacramento Kings of the Eastern Conference.

Phil Jackson is clueless running a team right now.

HOU has Beverley on the block now. BC should definitely be taking a run at him. Anderson and Beverley for 2018 PHI 1st top 10 protected?

Beverley and Fultz could be a really good pairing.

So we have four second round picks. #36, #39, #46, and #50. There's got to be a way to package 2 or 3 of these along with Okafor and get a nice juicy future 1st round pick.

Lakers just gave away Russell and the Hawks paid heavy to freaking dump Dwight. There's got to be an Okafor for a lottery pick deal out there. I say that only half joking. The league has gone nuts because of the Dubs dynasty staring them all in the face.

I now think a lotto protected 1st should suffice for those two. Will still have enough to extend Covington in November even after absorbing their deals.

We definately should not. We need to break the mold not look to replicate treadmill teams. We should avoid veterans like Reddick, Beverly, Iggy entirely.

If it isn't going to get us closer to GSW don't bother with the move.

Getting closer to GSW is not the goal. They are, for all intents and purposes, unbeatable. The goal is to compete now, get to the playoffs, win playoff games, get the kids experience... and then in 4 or 5 years when GSW falls off and your kids are coming into their primes, you are ready and rocking to go to be the successor.

Although, Bev guarding Curry would be a massive upgrade from anything the Sixers currently have to throw at him.

Exactly what I said in the other thread (2017 FA and Offseason).
We are not beating nor GS nor Spurs nor LeBrons team in the next three years. 2021 is the nearest year we can compete for a title. 2022-24 seems about right.

They are not unbeatable.

That post sounds like treadmill defeatist talk to me. Why did we go through the process to only sign a bunch of good veterans when our youguns are on their rookie deals then wait for them to be expensive for what? They'll be maxed and we won't have the space to do anything. This is the time nigh to shoot high, We have the young cheap core now go out and sign the Lowry's. Haywards. Griffins, Porters. If we can't get them now wait till 2018. You want to see what your plan looks like? Take a look at the Wizards they wasted the cap flexibility of Wall early. Now they are stuck hoping their young (25 ish) players continue to "grow" while on max deals. No thanks.

I also think as soon as we sign the first one whether that be Lowry or someone else the second one gets much easier. That is why I wasn't afraid of trading for george (but not at the value of the 2nd pick. somewhere close to what sac got for cousins) it sort of puts the flag down and ensures we are a primo destination for all the free agents this offseason. Look like it or not the Fultz move means we are going for it. Sac pick will likely convey and with the Lakers moves they'll be better. What are we waiting for.

No. HOU either wants to dump him for space, or Bev quietly requested a trade for whatever reason. A protected pick is plenty.
