If we lose to the Lakers then there may be an outside chance we can catch them. Not likely because the Lakers don't play too many more bad teams.

Can Saric come down with a head cold tonight or something?

Seriously. Just do it.

Someone needs to do like in the movie Celtic Pride but instead of kidnapping the other team's player they kidnap their own team's player to prevent a win tomorrow lol. Saric and TJ and Holmes need to be kidnapped and miss that Lakers game. Saric is going to try to go all out to win if he plays. We can't have that heart and hustle tomorrow. Ned to just lie down and die.

Harris' reaction at the 7:33 mark when they call out "Philadelphia" is pretty funny. It was an "Oh s*** are they actually telling us who won this thing?" Like he legit didn't know, lol.

Sacramento look like they're going down to Denver... bringing their record to 25-41... equal losses with us at 23-41. That pick swap could come into play yet.

Simbiid, simmbiid, I'm glad we cleared this lottery situation up.

Funny how our names are almost identical. I tried to change mine, but I need to wait 12 months. :-?

Yeah my old username was actually Stinky Hinkie lol. I changed it immediately after the draft last year as a tribute to our two future superstars and because I assumed that the tanking phase of the Process was officially over. I guess I was wrong. :D

As far as the envelope thing goes, I assume the reps pretend to act surprised on TV even though they already know the results for the sake of dramatics.

Every week I've been updating my arbitrary unscientific odds on what odds I think we'll get.

If we lose to the lakers, I'm thinking the #3 and #4 odds are quite likely. Maybe around 50/50.

Currently we are in the 4 seed... giving us 119 balls in the lottery. Sacramento the 6 seed has 63 balls... so effectively we are sitting on 182 balls... meaning we get more balls in the lottery than 3rd placed Phoenix (156 balls) and only 17 balls less than 2 seed Lakers.... if we finish 4th.

So effectively it currently looks like this:

Chances of winning draft pick #.
#1 18.2%
#2 24.2%
#3 33%
#4 46%
#5 60%

If Phoenix go above us and we finish top 3.... then the odds increase.
#1 21.9%
#2 29.2%
#3 38.5%
#4 50.6%
#5 63.6%

If the ultimate scenario happens... Sacramento loses it and Phoenix and Orlando go above them... and it ends up 1. Brooklyn, 2. Lakers, 3. Philadelphia, 4. Sacramento.. then we actually become the favourites to win the #1 pick due to the fact we have 275 out of the 1000 balls:
.................Pick 1.......Pick 2.......Pick 3.......Pick 4
Philadelphia...27.5%.......36.6%.......49.9%.......59.9%
Brooklyn........25%.......
Lakers...........19.9%.......
Orlando..........8%.......

Some massive games the next couple days:

-Sixers-Lakers, Knicks-Nets (Knicks need a win to separate from the KANGZ by two games) and Blazers-Suns (both playing back to back nights)

-Then Monday you have Kings-Magic where the Magic would then be in a tie with Sacto for 5th pick if they win

-Then looking ahead to Wednesday you have Suns-Kings in another pivotal game that could really be fascinating depending on the outcomes from the previous couple days.

The tank race is only heating up from here.

That's not actually the ultimate scenario. The ultimate scenario is us 2nd. Lakers 3rd. Sacramento 4th.

It's actually not outlandish for us to finish 2nd if we lose tonight. We'd only be 2 games back with 16 to play. Sacramento is much tougher right now they are 3 games back of PHX but they do play them twice still they also play both ORL and Phx back to back their next two. The good thing is we'll know pretty early with the LAL and SAC whether or not this is a possibility.

Ultimate "likely" scenario. I think the chances of us getting the 2 seed is virtually zero. It's obvious the players are playing to win... and we still have enough talent to win games.

The Lakers on the other hand are absolutely 100% tanking... no two ways about it. There is not a hope in hell they are going to let us finish in the 2nd seed and have them risk losing their 1st rounder this year.

Even if they finish 2nd we still have basically a coinflip of keeping the pick. Their coach and players aren't going to tank. They know this isn't the regime that hired them and their jobs are not secure moving forward. They aren't going to put out bad tape for the rest of the league unless it's a talent issue. They may need to be looking for a job next year.

They already beat PHX. All they can really do is continue to bench Deng and Mozgov but honestly I'm not sure they aren't a better team doing so.
