Tatum, Murray, Doncic, Mitchell. We're being taunted.

Not just good, truly fantastic management. It's not fair that they have Masai and we have... whatever we have...

Celts defense improved when kanter was on the floor

Celts were smart to get Kanter. They would intentionally put him on Biid and intentionally replace Kanter with Grant Williams when Al is at C. Because Kanter can defend at the post but they know he has footspeed problems against Cs who would Pop or play PnR.

Good find.

I think the guys on that list also run heavy amount of PnR.

Another thing ive learned is Rockets run the least amount of PnRs...

Kobe, Coronavirus, the police, our team sucks, and now I respect the Milwaukee Bucks.

2020 sucks.

Kanter doesnt have a problm with centers that pop or play pnr. He has trouble staying in front of guards in the pnr, that's why he doesnt fit in Celtics schemes that prioritize the ability to switch. Since the Sixers dont have a guard that can drive (although we tried to do it with Shake and Burks) they were not able to punish him.

Yeah Kanter is solid defending the post. He's bbq chicken trying to defend the P&R on the perimeter. Sadly we have exactly ZERO players who can punish him for that.

I initially thought we’d be making the finals by now. Following the 3 year cycle rule i believe.

I think next window is at 2022.

Dont mind me and my conspiracy theories haha

2020 sucks. This is such a wasted year

Have u guys watched the Jazz-Nuggets series?

These two teams pretty much just run 1-5 PnR. Both bigs drop on defense but Jokic is just worse.

Mike Malone said how the Jazz shoot like 34% on pull up 3s and they are making it at a high rage on that series. That should explain it.

It’s just open 3s or open shots for Mitchell and Conley whenever they run their 1-5 PnR.

I was watching this. And this lead me to see how the Rockets and Celts are the same with how they are going to the extreme in going away from the C position.

The difference between the two teams is Celts is more balanced while Rockets just went to the extreme.

Like both share the principle of a heavy perimeter offense game. But Celts’ scoring is more balanced with 4 guys who can score around 20 a game while Rockets pretty much rely on 2 guys. This is aside from heaving a balanced of Iso and PnR with Rockets going to the extreme of a heavy Iso and famine PnR game

The Sixers could end up being of only 3 teams that have the privilege of being eliminated from the bubble (though I think they'll finish this thing after taking a few days).

Do you think the players value this 2020 championship that much?

I think most of them are more happy to live their lives outside the bubble. Looking at Dame enjoying his time with his season and Paul George reportedly having some mental health issues at the bubble.

Is double combo guard line-up an ongoing trend?

Steph-klay
Dame-cj
Mitchell-conley
Garry harris-murray
Harden-westbrook
Van fleet-lowry
Doncic-Curry

There are still some teams who generate offense from the wing positions. Like the Bucks, Lakers and the Clippers. Double bigs or double big forwards, the one with the favorable match-up will attack on iso.

This is why I find the Raps and Bucks to be good. Bucks can find mismatch with the Khris-Giannis-Brolo with all these 3 being giants. While Raps have a giant frontcourt with a combo guard duo set-up.

Then there are those who still try to generate offense primarily at the C position. Like the Magic and the Sixers

Pick and roll = guards
Isolation = wings
Post = centers

But primarily the league is heavy on pick and rolls. 1-5 PnR to be more specific.

More proof that rim protection is increasingly less relevant.

Just have an elite coach/scheme and swarm with help defenders in the paint.

So if rim protection and post offense is not that relevant.. what do we do with Embiid?

Continue to enjoy the benefit of his scoring while convincing him to play at 245-255 (like Larry Brown suggested) so he can get back to being able to defend ball handlers on switches like he was able to in college and very early in his NBA career.

Return to Philadelphia 76ers
