Where would you draft Hart? What NBA comp would you have for him?

I gotta continue to monitor his defense to determine whether or not I see him being a 2-way player capable of being a lotto pick. I love his skill level and I love his age to excellence, so I'm going to take him much higher than most NBA franchises would.

In terms of NBA comps, I get a little Nick Anderson, a little Will Barton and a little Jeremy Lamb from his game. Hart is a winner with high basketball IQ so none of those guys are perfect comps for him.

Jonathan Isaac is another guy to keep an eye on for the Lakers pick (assuming it ends up in the 8 range, which I'm optimistic it will). 6-10.5 sf prospect who has shown the ability to really shoot it, another guy in this class with a huge upside.

I was about to say imagine if we draft Fultz and Isaac:

6'4" Fultz
6'8" Covington
6'10" Isaac
6'10" Simmons
7'2" Embiid

Biggest team in the league but with quickness on D and shooting.

Yea, and that Monk fellow is looking pretty good too. Check out that vision and defense!

Monk's defense sucks. Jumper looks wet, though. Could be a decent undersized 2-guard off the bench, at the next level.

Kentucky actually has a well balanced freshman class. Gonna be hard to beat them. No bums like the Harrisons.

Definitely. Fox and Briscoe are phenomenal large defensive guards that can blow by their man and draw fouls. Malik Monk is an elite scorer that's exceptional in the open court. He compliments the other two so well.

The key player will be Bam Adebayo. If he can play like he did against UT-Martin (15 pts and 12 rebs) then I don't think we can be stopped. Our bench has really stepped up too. Wenyen Gabriel has been an all around player similar to how Trey Lyles was, and Mychal Mulder has been a nice surprise as a shooter that can step on with or without Malik Monk on the floor. Really stretches the court along with players like Willis. Scary team for sure.

Really don't understand the Josh Jackson-Andrew Wiggins comparisons. It seems like Jackson does everything Wiggins doesn't.

Skinny 6'8" athletes. Highschool comps are usually the laziest and least-inspired because there's not enough to go off of.

If you had a choice between getting:

1) Fultz only

or

2) Josh Jackson and Frank Ntilikina

Which do you pick??

I like Jackson better than Fultz at the moment, but they are 1-2 for me.

Things are very fluid in my mind right now for the top 4.

Today I would probably rank them 1. Jackson, 2. Fultz, 3. Smith, 4. Ball.

It is still really early in the college season, but IMO this draft class doesn't seem to have a transcendent talent like Simmons, Embiid or Towns. Surely there are some very good players and maybe the overall depth might be better than in recent drafts, but I still think Philly probably got 2 out of the 4 best prospects (if you include Anthony Davis to the three that I've mentioned previously) that have entered the NBA in the last 5 years or so.

This class is very deep. Even if the Lakers pick falls at 12 we will get a good player. We are fine. I'm not sweating the lottery. I say that now but I know when the lottery happens I will want that top pick so we can get Fultz.

I agree.

So far, I don't see a Simmons in the group, but I think that there are 5 or 6 players that could be Ingram-level. Then there are another 5 or 6 that could be in the Mudiay or Marcus Smart level.

The whole lottery from 1-14 looks strong so far to me. Where guys taken in the 10-12 area could be as good as players traditionally taken in the 6-8 area.

We certainly picked the right year to get the Lakers pick if it ends up in the 8-14 range. I'm not giving up hope on the 4-7 range though. I still think that the Lakers can't keep this up for the entire year, and that they will fall back to Earth before the end of the season.
