I think you guys would be happy with Dragic and Siakam..Dragic can still play at a high level. And Siakam is an allstar level player that Morey craved. And he can stretch the floor for embiid. Maybe you guys can get some picks also.

Trying to think of the instances where an all star whose mentality was questioned, and was traded and went on to make a leap into an all time great. Honestly, the first guys I think of regarding their mentality are Derrick Coleman and Chris Webber. Both of them were all time great talents, but not necessarily all time great players. The only way Simmons gets there is if he turns the entire city of Philadelphia into his own personal Ivan Drago. Otherwise, as soon as he starts missing freebies and the away/home crowds start chirping/murmuring loudly, he’s toast and cannot be played in the closing minutes of the playoff games when it counts.

Except Ben has already shown that once he thinks he's made a point once, he just reverts back to coast mode. Like when he feels snubbed by all-star vote so he actually visibly changed his style of play but once he made the team he reverted b/c he felt he "showed them."

You’d be extremely lucky to get Edwards and Prince at this point from Minnesota. Of course Rich Paul will be lobbying against it.

Rivers has had some pretty rocky locker rooms and Houston wasn't exactly paradise either.

Then there is the fact that many of the same dudes are still lurking in the shadows....and own the team.

we are **** regardless.

Might just be time to rebuild again. No one else is doing it, so you can certainly get ahead of the class on the 2022 draft.

Maybe you get Jo to agree to an injury? Go the Spurs route where Robinson was hurt for the year, tank it up and draft Duncan.

Or maybe you just trade him. After signing that extension, Morey can actually get one of those packages for Jo he was looking to deal Ben for.

There’s zero upside to this team if Simmons is traded for nothing and Maxey follows him out the door.

Why wouldn't I be upset when I support my team and the player. I paid money for tix, I bought products and Simmons jerseys. I have every right to be ticked off when a self-entitled primadonna declares he won't play for my team when he hasn't given two s***s to actually work on his weaknesses and insulted all of us by claiming he didn't need to and then disappears the way he did killing our best shot at a title. Damn right I'm upset!

But that doesn't excuse your claims that Morey is somehow the impetus for this when it's pretty clear that Joel's and Doc's post-game comments played as much a part of this and that Ben really has no one to blame for his situation other than himself.

I would support a one year tank. Claim Jo needs surgery, let Reed Maxey Springer Thybulle and Joe develop through trial by fire. Trade Ben off for futures or a core young player.

Come back for '22-'23 with a revitalized MVP Embiid + Banchero, Maxey, Springer, Thybulle, Ben assets, Reed + whatever happens with Curry & Harris.

Embiid wins his Dirk style chip in the next three years. We all live happily ever after.
