Presti is ridiculously overrated. Not a good drafter outside of the top 3, and besides of being gifted Durant and Harden at picks #2 & #3, has a pretty insubordinate draft record. Also had 3 superstar rookies on entry level contracts and only got to one finals and then blew it up.

He's the feeder GM for the rest of the league. He can't build a winner, he only knows how to suck and accumulate talent, and then to ship them off.

Shai is next.

Masai, being an actual GM and not relying on mickey mouse top three draft picks to bail him out and do his job for him:

1) Traded Rudy Gay for Vasquez, Patterson, Hayes and Salmons.

2) Traded Vasquez for the draft rights to Norman Powell and a future protected first round pick. That first round pick turned into OG Anunoby (who was a steal at 20).

3) Traded Terrence Ross for Serge Ibaka.

4) Traded Derozan, Poeltl and a 1st for Kawhi and Green.

5) Traded JV, Wright and CJ Miles for Marc Gasol.

6) Drafted Siakam at 27 who was a steal.

7) Drafted Powell at 46 who was a steal.

8) Drafted OG at 20 who was a steal.

9) Signed Vanvleet who was undrafted.

10) Traded Bargnani for Novak, a 1st round pick and two 2nd round picks.

Masai was able to build a perennial 50+ win team and at the same team find assets late in the draft to build a nice young core while being a contender.

Pre-Masai:

2012-2013 finished 34-48

Raptors record since Masai took over:

2013-2014 finished 48-34
2014-2015 finished 49-33
2015-2016 finished 56-26
2016-2017 finished 51-31
2017-2018 finished 59-23
2018-2019 finished 58-24
2019-2020 finished 53-19
2020-2021 finished 27-45

The greatest.

Looks like charlotte will be missing rozier and ball next 10 days. We got charlotte 2x in a row on the road. Sucks for them

But we missed so many players with Covid as well and that contributed to our 2-7 record with no embiid (Harris/thybulle/joe) missed multiple games

We are better than our 12-11 record. I honestly sixers would be 16-7 at the worst had embiid not gotten Covid. And maybe 18-5 at the best

They have four guys out already and from experience that list usually gets bigger, not smaller for a little while. I would have liked to see them at full strength, but now these are must win games, can't get trapped by who isn't there and remember that no one took it easy on us just because the Sixers were so depleted on that last road trip.

We should be able to feast on the Hornets for the next two games given that much of their roster is stricken with COVID. I'm hoping that Embiid sits out at least one game (likely Wednesday) since he needs the rest and we host the Jazz on Thursday and the Warriors on Saturday.

I think this Desmond Bane guy can be really good. Grizz kind of is very high on him. They let Grayson Allen go then they’re giving Bane a lot of minutes and opportunity. Could be the long term backcourt partner of Morant.

Teammate Jae Crowder is a way better version of that three and D archetype. For one, he actually shoots the ball.

Guy is averaging 12.4 PPG on a .625 TS on a team with the best record on the NBA. For Kobble it’s nothing.

Nah Kobble loves trash 20 ppg scorers who are less valuable than Bridges himself and aren’t actually plus offensive players.. You know guards, whatever, zero defense, losing players.

Also Randle + Barrett is dookie. Such an old archaic archetype being vetoed out.

Surprised he doesn’t think Tobithus is the greatest thing since sliced bread lol

Well, Cole Anthony, Coby White and Malcolm Brogdon (who is better then Durant Offensively) is his ideal backcourt, so yeah, I don’t really take Kobble that seriously.

But I have to admit, hes right at times.

And for the bold part, he does. He said Tobias is fantastic for us this season. Maybe because he pulls up from three a lot. Who cares that he misses it

I'm always wary about guys who don't look like NBA players until their senior year in school, but Bane has surpassed my expectations. He's been really productive in the NBA and an absolute sniper from deep.

Defensively, he's bad, but he at least has the size and strength to compete. We know he has hidden passing ability that he hasn't unveiled yet. I wonder if he has any upside at all as a scorer off the dribble (didn't flash much of that in school).

I thought there was a good chance we could take Bane at 21 in 2020 and to me it was like neutral case scenario. He's been a great shooter, I didn't like his mechanics, but he's been slinging it in the league without hesitation and has scoring upside. Nice little 2 guard. Although I don't think they should have moved Grayson Allen anyways or he should have been consolidation as part of a bigger package for an impact player.

Sassy Bane quote.

Read on Twitter

edit: Took a little stroll over to R/Mavericks to see if the Bane quote was being discussed at all, man they're miserable over there and seem well beyond fed up with Mark Cuban

Shamefully, I thought Josh Green had a chance to be good. Had the size, passing ability, defensive ability, and free throw shooting to project as a good role player, I thought. He's been a huge bust. I'm now out on non-scorers, so I no longer have to suffer that disappointment lol.

Rough draft for the Mavs. Green has been a bust and Tyrell Terry is literally out of the league because of mental health stuff.

If this what's he saying is true, I guess he kinda ruined himself with not acknowledging the injury? And this also puts a bad light on our medical staff. But yeah, water under the bridge.

EDIT: Could you imagine BC's face though if they had discovered that Fultz has TOS early on and had told him that the first pick he had just traded up for has a super rare neurological condition and the best course of action is to rest him for like two seasons?

I’ve honestly never seen Kobble be right about anything. It’s actually impressive being wrong on everything that takes some real thinking lol

TOS OMG not that chit again. I didn't believe it then and I don't believe it now. Next Ben Simmons, after he is traded will say he was dealing with TOS and a mental issue from day one in the NBA but hid it. Even after getting over his TOS (he is over it) has Fultz ever lived up to the hype of being a #1 overall? Frigging BC wasted so many assets on this one pick. That's the real crime here.

And whats really funny is the one guy that had a legit injury and people wrote him off big time, Embiid, fought through it all worked on his game got better and here he is today.

You know Fultz should name all his kids Raymond Brothers. That guy has done an outstanding job for Fultz. Whatever he is getting paid it is not enough.

Tonight, Steph goes for both three point records against Portland. With 15 threes tonight, he ties Ray Allen for first all time b made threes, and if he does that, he also breaks Klay’s record of 14 threes in a single game.

If Curry can’t do this tonight, he breaks the record in Philadelphia.
"I don’t wanna be Jordan, I don’t wanna be Magic, I don’t wanna be Bird or Isiah. I don’t wanna be any of those guys. When my career’s over, I''m gonna look in the mirror and say I did it my way.”- Allen Iverson
