Doctors say George needs to strengthen his quads, but what does that really mean? It’s not like fixing a car where you just replace a part and drive off. Building muscle takes time, you can’t just hit the gym for a week and take whey protein expecting instant results.
There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.

I'm pretty sure they're talking about physical therapy, not bulking up his quads, which still take time. Impossible to know exactly what the Sixers are looking for (is it ever?), but here's my take.76ciology wrote:Doctors say George needs to strengthen his quads, but what does that really mean? He has been participating in practice for awhile so I imagine he's partially is not mostly through recovery. If they weren't so scared about injuries he could go, but they want his old ass to reach a benchmark, that he's not at right now, so they don't risk further injury.
Unfortunately, since we don't know the benchmark or where he's at, it could mean he's ready next game or it could mean months.

What scares me is there was a report that he’d be available “early november” but it sounds like that it’s delayed.

With Embiid, it's a pain tolerance issue. He has chronic arthritis in both knees because of the damage and wear and tear. There will be good days and bad days.
With George, since as mentioned they all know they aren't winning anything this year, even in a s*** conference... my guess is it's a combination of the team being ultra cautious and George taking that opportunity to milk it. Prediction: suits up in December, plays for two months, back on the shelf by February before the trade deadline.

This team can absolutely go to the ECF and possibly Finals. They would get waxed by the WCF team though.

Here's an equivalent statement: I could date Sydney Sweeney if I was famous, rich, and taller.
What you're talking about would require multiple things that have never happened to suddenly happen.

Well, I imagine you'd have to know Sydney (or at least be in a circle that crosses paths with hers) to date her; otherwise, don't sell yourself short!
We are currently 4th in the EC being led by the Pistons (another team that hasn't done anything in 20 years). I'm not saying this from the standpoint that we are so much improved from years past; it's more an indictment on the state of the EC. We also appear to have a decent amount of talent/depth on this team. The Knicks or Cavs are really the only teams that pose a major challenge towards us at this time. Maybe the Bucks if Giannis gets them going.
