8 time all defensive team member ah no sorry buddy you fail. Durant has only played 3 years. So child please!!!!!!

Actually, its not. Its actually what this team needs at a discounted price. Doug COllins really only wants Iggy along with coach K as a defensive stopper. They both know he doesn't have the offensive skills to be an elite scorer. He just doesn't have the skill set. But he does have the athletic ability to be a good defender. Now a good defender, not a great one is not worth 12m a year. I am sure a player like Bruce Bowen who is one of the all-time best defenders could do the same thing for this team. Sure Iggy does a few more things. But ET will be taking away from Iggy as he gets better. And eventually takes Iggys role away as a Mr Do everything well guy. If this team could have a player like a Bruce Bowen who is a lock down defender, and only pay him lets say 6m a year i would be ok with it. But you can't have a defensive specialist making 12m a year. And really, Iggy's future is such that. With him being surrounded by better talent like ET and JH. Iggy's numbers will drop. I can see him getting 13/4/5 this year. He will no longer be the focal point. Let it be known, i don't hate Iggy. I just see this team being better without him being a focal point.

I agree with the emergence of Jrue Holiday, I think his numbers will go down. For 13 million, is it worth keeping him? I think we are better off without him.

For 15 posts, is it worth keeping him? I think we are better off without him.

The board got way too many trolls nowday, it's becoming a "the few people who has an enormous hatred towards Iguodala vs. the rest of us". Everyone is entitled to their opinion, BUT, the constant hijacking kinda make me wish certain somebody wasn't banished. At least back then, it was just 1 guy.

hi576ers has made some really suspect posts. I'm pretty positive that is dedicated. He's trying to be discrete, but you can see right through him.

But hi5 just says one or two short sentences instead of 30, with 10 contradicting each other.

And reading "hi5" makes me smile. So there is always that.

Its funny how guys care who others are when they don't agree with their own opinions. I for one go to about 10 games a year for the Sixers and am a true fan. I just hate that management has made such poor decisions in both personnel and of course coaching. I really think that Ed Snider has held this team back for years. When we lost Pat Croce, we lost the Sixers. Hopefully now with Thorn running the show. We can have a better basketball mind running the Sixers. Its a shame if Ed Snider would had given Croce what he wanted, we would probably had a better franchise for the past 9 years. But with multiple coaches and bad trades and signings. THis team is a lottery team for at least 1-2 more years.

The way I see it:

This team has turned over a new leaf. They have a great basketball mind at the helm of the front office. They have a great basketball mind and motivator on the bench. The star player that we paid alot of money to two years ago is coming off his best offseason of his life and is executing his role to perfection as a starting member of Team USA basketball.

To have users come on here and say how overpaid Andre is, or how limited his offensive game is, or how we'd be better without him is just annoying as hell. The dude is playing the EXACT role for Team USA that Collins talked about him playing when he was hired. He's received nothing but praise from his teammates and Coach K. Get off his damn back and wait to see how well he fits into this new Sixers regime before criticizing him for things that happened during the old regime.

The main reason Andre got off track to begin with was an poorly thought-out expansion of his role offensively and a stride away from the things he does best. This summer, he has been doing the exact things for Team USA that he excels at and have been the exact things Collins is asking of him this upcoming year. Which is a reduced role offensive (particularly ball handling and shooting jumpers) and a rededication to being a lockdown defender. Can we all, collectively as a group, put things in proper perspective and grant Andre a window to redeem himself?

End of rant.

Even if Iguodala can score 100 points, I don't think it will be good enough. Waste of time.

Not unless he scores those 100 points all on silky smooth jumpers.

Or make Kobe shoot 0 out of 100 shot attempts...and meanwhile dunk over Dwight Howard.

At the same exact time, in game 7 of the NBA finals.

If he had the skill have a Bruce Bowen i woul be happy. A 3 point shooter and also a great defender. BUt he is a bad shooter with decent defender skills.

He had 3 point again today. And really, with that cast of talent. He should be getting 12 points a game.

meanwhile, for you sir, I stop reading when you say if Iguodala had the skills of Bruce Bowen

for the "10 games" you go to per year, you must be high and thought Carney was Iguodala.
