Trade Iguodala to move up and draft Henson, then trade up again from 15 to get Ross?

That would be putrid (and I like both guys we would draft - just hate the cost)

It's not out of the question that BOTH Henson and Ross are on the board at 15. All it takes is one team to take a guy people didn't project and every pick after than gets revised. If they are both there at 15, you can get both...it's known that Houston wants to move out of pick 16 so just trade them a future 1st or something for it. That way you keep Iguodala and get those two guys. If Henson isn't there, then you still have plenty of trade option with Iguodala around the league.

Agreed, But i think the Sixers thinking is that Detroit at 9 would take Henson.

trading up from 15 to 12 or 13 wont cost that much......thats what they would have to do to get either rivers or ross if afraid of not getting one.

Henson wont get past detroit at 9 is what they are thinking

Not interested in Rivers at all. Henson and Ross wouldnt be bad i guess. Still some big holes to fill in Free Agency.

PG-Jrue,FA
SG-Turner,Ross.
SF-Jefferson,Wright
PF-Henson,Thad
C-Voose,Lavoy

Young team that has good potential, I like.

Maybe add Humphries or Hibbert.

I'd do the GSW trade in a second. We would possibly be getting both Jefferson and Wright back, plus the 7th pick! I'll take that.
Maybe we are lotto bound next year, maybe not. All I know is that it's time to move on from Iguodala.

There is an outside chance Drummond could be there at 9. I know it's not high, but it's also not unthinkable. There's a lot of factors....we have heard that Portland and GS want more immediate impact guys...Toronto at 8 has no need for him, so in that scenario he slips to 9 and I'm almost certain a team like Detroit would take him over Henson. Henson then won't go to NOLA (Davis/Henson really bad fit). Portland is at 11, would they take Henson? Probably depends somewhat on who they took at 6. Either way, moving up to say 10-11 is a lot cheaper than getting to 7-8. The other factor is trades. You can sit there and say "this team will take player X at pick Y, but what if someone trades into that slot or trades into a slot ahead of it and picks a curveball. Only certain things IMO are Davis, Beal, Robinson, MKG, Barnes, Waiters, Drummond and Lillard are gone before us based on reports we have heard. Heck, who knows, maybe ever Drummond falls like D. Jordan did....it's not unthinkable....every draft has a major surprise or two. Every guy I didn't mention could be that ONE or TWO guys who slip based on circumstances.

Young team that is lottery bound, unless Turner takes big leaps.

A GSW trade would net ya jefferson and wright too....

PG-Jrue,FA
SG-Turner/Wright?/Silas
SF-Jefferson/Ross
PF-Henson,Thad
C-Voose,Lavoy

And you can either keep Brand or amnesty and get another player(Humphries maybe)

Id resign Lou if we trade Iggy to GSW. Not enough scoring in that lineup IMO.

Just watched some Highlights of Henson and i change my opinion on him, He isnt that raw as some people say, Good Rebounder, Solid mid range jumper(ala Lavoy) Blocks shots. Could def bring a nice impact next year. The one area he needs to improve is strength, how is he going to handle these big NBA guys in the post.

fair point. I could see Rivers being a better fit than Ross if we obtain two SF in jefferson and wright too.

Jrue/Lou
Turner/Rivers/Silas
Jefferson/Wright
Humphries/Thad/Henson
Lavoy/Nik

No point in keeping Silas, he is useless. We still got those 2nd round picks to add a couple more bigs.

true..i was just speculating on some cheap fill ins for the roster. Silas can shoot a little thats why i put him there. My guess is we may use one or both of the 2nds in tradeups.

Id show strong interest in both Humphries and Asik. Maybe offer Hibbert and Gordon the max and see if they bite.

gordon and hibbert not going anywhere in my opinion. I am not an Asik fan..but think Humphries would fit well.

Do you think this drags out until Thursday night during the draft SF? So the other team would draft the player for us then trade him for Iggy. I figure they will want to know the player they are targeting is available before they pull the trigger on the trade?

Collins probably has a good handle on the ACC prospects through his son. Henson did well in the interview but I don't really give that a lot of weight. I'm not opposed to taking a point guard at 15 if he's BPA. If Andre and Lou are really leaving, we'll need more ball handling.

Sixerfan,

I saw today speculation that Chicago could make Noah available for a lottery pick so they can create room to re-sign Asik and other players. Apparently they want some cap flexibility with Rose out most of next year.

Any thoughts on whether we would be interested in Noah as part of a 3 way deal where Iguodala goes to a lottery team, Noah comes to Philly and a lottery pick (and cap room) goes to Chicago?

Noah seems to fit the same profile of what they would hope Henson becomes and we already know he's NBA talent. More expensive, but I'd take the known commodity over the unknown. Noah still young enough to fit with the team.

Why not just trade 15 for Noah, just take on his contract by amnestiy of Brand. Keep Iggy and sign Humphries and Lou with leftovers

PG-Jrue,Lou
SG-ET
SF-Iggy
PF-Hump,Thad
C-Noah,Lavoy,Voose.

This team could cause some ruckus in the East

Bulls are prolly taking the tank and get the 1st pick approch because of the uncertanity wrapped around Rose, They would get a young player and cap relief to resign Asik and Gibson.

Because they want a high lottery pick to use it on a replacement for Noah. Speculation is Drummond. So assuming he's still on the board at 7, this might make sense. GS wouldn't need Noah, they would probably prefer Iguodala.
