Okafor will be highly inefficient against us in the coming years.

What's amusing is the reports that say Philly wants to secure a deal before Thursday night and because of that, Boston has leverage. In those same reports however, they usually say that Boston would prefer to deal the #3 pick, so I would think that would lessen their leverage. For me, if it's more than Okafor for the #3, I pass and move on. If it's Noel, it depends because I do realize his contract situation. Either way though, Colangelo should not be giving up more than this for guys like Dunn, Murry or Hield. A trade will materialize eventually even if it isn't in time for draft night.

Be afraid of Colangelo dealing with Ainge. Very afraid.

Oh, I am. I saw the O'Neal and Turkoglu trades, plus I know that Ainge rarely offers anything close to equal value when he thinks he has leverage. For as much as Philly may or may not want Dunn, Colangelo has to take a look at Boston's big man situation and realize how mediocre it is on it's best day and that no one they take at #3 or most likely in this draft is going to change that. There are guys in every draft that you really like and don't get. I wouldn't solve Boston's problem at a discount and believe me, they have every bit the problem in their frontcourt that Philly has in its backcourt.

I don't really get that point and I hear it a lot, who cares if a shot gets blocked? I know it looks cool and stuff, but at the end of the day it is about efficiency. I'd rather get blocked 3 times a night and shoot 60% than get blocked 0.2 times per game and shoot 50%. Okafor has some major concerns with his poor rebounding and defensive rotations, but offensively he was very efficient.

But Okafor shoots 50% and isn't very efficient (53%TS).

This YOUNG man already has the most elite post up package in the league. His moves are more advanced than any big we have seen in some time at such a young age. You simply CANNOT deal him away after only ONE year for a player who has yet to prove anything. It could turn out to be a huge mistake. His one on one D isn't as bad as people think and he has the speed and strength to improve on D and rebounding. Nerlens has pretty much peaked on the offensive end. Let's put it this way, Jahlils offense is beyond Noels defense and it is much more realistic for Jah to improve his D than for Noel to improve his O. It would be smart to keep Jahlil and give him a chance to play with COMPETENT players on his team, it may make a difference.

Guarantee he will kill us every time he plays us if we make this stupid move

TS was 60% once we stopped running Jakarr Sampson as the point.

I apologised in our forum and I will apologise in yours, he does not reflect many of us and I am so sorry for him posting such a (Please Use More Appropriate Word) trade.

No need to apologize - we all have these types in our fanbase. I've actually been a little impressed that most Celtics are fairly reasonable and realistic.

I know, but that includes a period where he didn't have a competent guard besides him. He shot >60% when Ish Smith was on the court (still only 47.7% of shots were assisted). That's a below average PG in the NBA, imagine how he will look with a competent offensive scheme and actual NBA players surrounding him, that's scary.

In comparison, DeMarcus Cousins, a real powerhouse on the offensive end shot 45.1 % (47.3 % from 2, thought I should mention this since his increased number of 3 pointers attempted) and got assisted 55% of his makes.

This is why context matters with statistics, Okafor was a really poor player statistically this year, but he was put in a horrible situation. Same with his defensive stats. Yes, he is a very poor rim protector right now, but our guards couldn't even defend a lamppost. His 1 on 1 defensive numbers are quite good actually.

No idea, but he's claiming BC wants to get back into top 8 (which we've seen already) but he's saying it is for a SG. Buddy?

If you had your choice. Would you rather trade Okafor straight up for #3 or Noel for #3 plus one of Smart/2017 Nets pick?

Well - for Noel fans - the good news is it's Brian Geltzeiler.

Yes, but the key here is to know if he has ties with the Celtics not with the Sixers.
That leak is coming out from Boston not from Philly.

He doesn't even have ties to the team janitors. He's a deadbeat reporter.

I'd rather trade Noel *and* Okafor, than just Noel.

A Sixers team with Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid has no use for Jahlil Okafor and his blackhole offense.

Somebody asked Colangelo today if he was hoping to get another top 5 or 10 pick.He said something about hoping to get into the top 8.

Either he has 8 players on a tier that he is interested in, or he just tipped his hand at a deal with Sac at 8.
