I was talking more about Brown as a passer or playmaker, not as a scorer, but good to know.

I like him even as a late-lotto guy, but talking about him in the top5 is crazy to me, do you see him as a guy that is gonna have the ball and create at the next level? how come?
I see creating as having the ball in his hands and making a play. I believe that includes scoring.
If you look at Bruce Brown's Freshman year and compare it to Russell Westbrook's Sophomore year, even with Brown being marginalized by Ja'Quan Newton for half the year, they have similar years. Brown is arguably having a better one. Mix that in with his size, length and athleticism and I don't think it's a leap to project him high in this draft

Miami games are really unfun to watch. Jim Larranaga's style is pretty boring.

We have no shot at Fultz. I've moved on

Fultz - Dislocated left kneecap
Smith Jr - Torn left ACL
Tatum - Fractured left leg
Monk - Stress fracture in back

I really wish I could see what most people seem to see in Fultz. I see a CJ McCollum ceiling and an OJ Mayo floor.

Actually if you ask me which Center I want for my perfect championship caliber team, I will chose Asik hands down

I don't think anyone knows how badly I want Ball. I want to see he and Simmons not only because I think it would be epic but partly because we would automatically become one of the most hated teams and one of the most watched. Simmons already gets superstar hate and people think he's arrogant and think he will flop. Then you have Ball. You have people now wanting him to flop because of his dad and Lonzo also has many think he's overrated and will flop.
Simmons and Ball also have a brand and care about marketing. I want to see if two different factions who care about growing their brand can coexist and no one gets jealous of the other if someone gets more love or marketing than the other. This would be a great experiment. You have Rich Paul vs Lavar Ball each trying to get their guy to be the face of the franchise. Please happen. I need this.

I'm not worried about Lonzo and Simmons getting along. Lonzo is a good kid with a nutty father. I'd be pretty worried about DSJ and Simmons though. There's a chance their overly cocky attitudes would clash and they end up fighting over the ball.

I wouldn't be worried about Simmons and DSj's cocky attitudes not working together. I like cocky players. I'd be more worried about their styles of play meshing. Lebron and Kyrie works, but l think Lebron being so much older and well respected, it forces Kyrie to naturally defer. With Simmons and DSj, that dynamic wouldn't exist.

Florida State vs. Duke tonight at 7pm on ESPN.
Tatum needs a bounce-back game.

We don't talk enough about how much of a disappointment Marques Bolden has been for Duke.
6'11", 250 pounds, 7'6" wingspan, McDonalds all-american.
Non rotation player on a team in desperate need of a 5.

Yea, and I was pissed UK missed on him. He's been pretty garbage.
In a similar vein, I wonder if Jarrett Allen will come out this year. Has put up some decent numbers as a freshman.

I don't see it either. I think that he is a very good prospect in the D'Angelo Russel/Jamaal Murray mold, that is maybe a notch better than those guys.
He could turn into an allstar some day, and at a position of need for us, so I would draft him without hesitation, but that is about it.
I consider him on par as a prospect with Ingram.

Re: 2016-2017 College Basketball / '17 NBA Draft Thread Volume 2
If I had to guess, I'd say he comes out. His scoring and rebounding in conference play has been very good.
With his excellent wingspan, I think he ultimately ends up at the 5. And unfortunately, he doesn't protect the rim well enough to be an ideal Center. Also, not sure if he has the footspeed to defend on the perimeter and he lacks the range on his J to be a great option at the PF spot. His production has been nice, but I'm not a big fan of Jarrett Allen as a prospect.
I much prefer Robert Williams, even though he lacks C size.
