In a relative sense considering the circumstances of having no help, it's not garbage, but it's adjaysont to garbage.

Lol

Fine I'll make one, I don't think you installed the magnet rims though.

Remember it’s individual scoring, and it’s not Shaq/Hakeem like either.

The double down for scoring while letting go some defensive prowess doesn’t exactly push us to the next level. The people around him don’t maximize his value.

25/11/3/2 type numbers on 20 shots +50% FG while playing DPOY defense that’s the sweet spot.

We live in the 3ball era now

Embiid can go for 30+ Heck he did just that last year. That’s all well and good but what is the cost here? What is the usage/time soak on the clock? What is the turnover ratio like? What is the true efficiency like?

Heck Davis has been a monster playoff performer basically when he first played. He started to win a series/series’s behind Holiday/Rondo 2x/LBJ/Caruso. It’s a lot to fall back on as floor man ship goes.

Both Ben & Embiid need each other to function well but when together they also bring out both their own inherit flaws which neither have shown the maturity to fix. Harris added is a bad fit which compounds it.

Bucks have the right formula and it’s not like Middleton/Holiday are otherworldly either, they function to mask Giannis weaknesses (iso/perimeter scoring).

Lucky we have as things go an easier run to the ECF. I mean the Heat right now would cause us a ton of trouble.

I like all our players. But I’m staying in context here. Thybulle might be the greatest defender ever but he puts up 3 points a game. That’s not going to work. It’s theory vs reality with this team atm

We have bit part players.

Two most important things we don’t have:

1. High level outside creators (Booker)
2. High level floorman ship in the halfcourt (CP3)

Just divy up the two into Lillard or in the off-season go for leather. I hope we do well
but man oh man it won’t surprise me if this gets really ugly down the line.

I think it's pretty obvious that at least one of Embiid and Simmons (my money is on Simmons) is gone in the offseason if we fail to reach at least the ECF or maybe even the Finals. Last year, the coach was the primary scapegoat (and rightfully so even though there were a number of other factors) for the team's underperformance during the regular season and getting swept in the first round of the playoffs. This year, neither of them have an excuse with the new coach. I'm pretty sure that Morey wasn't brought in by our ownership not to make major changes if necessary.

I could see us losing game 1. Beal is an absolute Sixer destroyer and Westbrook is feeling himself. Guys like Gafford, Rui, and Bertans are all more than capable of going off and turning us on our heels.

They're walking into the playoffs collectively playing at a high level so our defense needs to be dialed in.

They lost to the Iso Celtics without Jaylen Brown and beat a injury riddled Pacers to get in.

Jalen Brunson 7-8 from FT yesterday off the bench. He's going to generate some big time trade interest this offseason. I kinda feel bad for him (relatively speaking of course); signed to a 4 year deal at 22 years old and won't get his payday until 26. Hope he stays healthy.

What?

Embiid 2nd in the NBA in usage, Curry is 3rd.

Embiid makes his living in the post, and he still can't pass out of a double team.

Curry is a scoring pg shooting off the dribble, driving the lane or being assisted by a playmaker (Draymond).

I don't see how they fit?

If that's the case, we need to come to grips with the fact that Embiid fits with no one he's capable of winning a championship with. And we need to trade him this offseason.

Now that I think about it, I can't name a single high usage guard and center combo that has ever won a championship.

Probably a better retort than my Big Three comparison above. I think my favorite part is that Curry is rarely even in the top 10 in USG over his career. We're using the one year in the past 7 where turned around and didn't see 4 other all stars, but rather Andrew Wiggins and Kelly Oubre. Of course he's going to shoot the ball 75 times a game.

Maybe I'm having a brain fart, but I can't think of many high usage guard/center combos.

I'm guessing Kobe and McGrady don't count. Maybe Murray/Jokic. Any others possibly out there?

Kobe wasn't a guard?

We can keep it with Shaq and say Shaq/Wade. Pretty sure there's been a ton of evidence it works over the years.

So Kobe is a wing then? What's the difference between a high usage guard and a high usage wing in this equation? They both operate on the perimeter.

Jokic isn't your normal big man, he gets 10 ast per game.

Surround Embiid with four shooters and he's still going to get doubled, and he's still going to have the same problems.

Simmons is dynamic. I'd choose him and build a Bucks light. I'm not the only one saying this.

Post play is dead in the NBA.
