Wow, you weren't kidding. Add to that Doc is comparing Ben and his team to insurrectionists, I'm thinking Jamal Murray might be a Sixer by next week.
Would be a very very odd time to take a trip to Colorado and go off the grid for him, training camps start in a few days and he could be moved and go anywhere anytime.

Would 76ers fans do Edwards, Beverley, Prince for Simmons and Maxey?
Money works.
Money works.

Colorado is strange territory for a young socialite with insurrectionist leanings. I think you're on to something.
Godwin's law is going to be invoked by preseason right?

I don't really rate Edwards. In the event that Murray and that acl are on the table I'd prefer him.

Although, where did you see that it's in fact Colorado? Airport seems a little close to the mountains for it to be DIA (unless he flew to a private airport I don't know about).

Was wondering this lol.
His airport story is from 16 hours ago. The other plane in the picture flew from Dallas to Van Nuys (LA) during that time frame.

Not that it means Ben did, but his flight either started or stopped at one of those locations. The next story has him being chauffeured through the valley. He's likely at his California mansion aka: not planning on reporting to training camp in the very near future. (duh)

Of course he did, he's part of the Sixers!
Lol
They've definitely written off him ever showing up. Stay healthy in that LA mansion Ben!

Yes, I would. But swap out one of Beverley/Prince for Beasley if Maxey is to be included.

I don't care about Ben coming to camp really, but Doc, lol.
So you're saying comparing Ben Simmons to insurrectionists wasn't a good move?
Man, Glenn was low key an awful hire. Keeps throwing gasoline on the fire.

Ish!!
Ant plays no D whatsoever and a high volume unconscious chucker who shot 31% from three-point land. He has no concept how to play team ball when he figures it’s his turn to shoot he shoots. Yuck!!!

Who cares about his defense? He's a dribble-pass-shoot, explosive 6'4" 225 pound athletic freak that just averaged 19+ as a 19 year old.
Edwards would be the best perimeter talent we've had since Iverson. He's a true franchise player.

High Key dude. Seriously, he's a mediocre coach. Lets just start there. Not terrible, not great. Somewhere in the upper mid tier.
But he's here for the player relationships and the great PR etc etc. Funny thing about that....
After the game he misses the layup of all layup questions regarding Ben. He does minimal damage control after the fact. Now, at this advanced hour, he decides to just repeatedly put his foot in his mouth and lie to, well, the world about the situation. What a terrible hire.

Goes on a PR tour for a podcast and somehow makes Ben situation worse

Marc Stein has something up behind a paywall about Simmons. Anyone have access who could give us the highlights?

Re: Ben Simmons Trade Thread part V
Did he really miss that question or had all the Simmons babying bullcrap all year long just reach a point where someone had to tell a very mild truth that made the manbaby run off crying to his agent. I'm not a huge fan of Rivers and giving Morey reason to eventually lose Glenn is fine by me, but Simmons was coddled and protected by everyone in the organization all year long and no wonder, he lost his crap when someone mildly told the truth. No guessing why Kendall traded up to Booker from Ben, now if only Morey could do the same.

I agree with the entire sentiment but you just don't do that in the media. You try to handle it behind the scenes if you intend on keeping the player and if you do not intend on keeping the player you still handle it quietly for leverage/trade purposes. It was just a masterclass on what not to do. Also, maybe if Doc was a relatively new coach I could understand letting this slip. If BB did this, okay. But Doc has been a head coach since I was in middle school and I'm absolutely washed now. No excuse for this parade of unforced errors.
