Thanks for dropping in, now I need you to look into who owns the team before my guy Mjkvol further elaborates.

Yes lol

Luka has shown more in one playoff run than Embiid’s entire career.

Luka in laments terms is closer to Lebron on offence (defence different story) than anybody else.

But the Mavs would want Embiid, Maxey and extra stuff, and I’d still do it

Luka is a stone cold mf.

Embiid is the MVP and at the very least a top 10 player in the league IMO. He is still a center with an injury history that requires a certain set up to thrive.

These two things can coexist.

Embiid played like the best in the world this season. This playoffs, he barely played like a top 25 player. He's probably somewhere between top 3-5, and I won't go past that because of his ceiling and the fact that he just won an MVP. But given that Jokic is elite in the regular season and cranks it up an extra notch in the playoffs he's defnitely the best in the league atm.

He’s more 5-10 than 3-5. A MVP award is nice but unfortunately counts for zero towards a championship.

Durant
Giannis
Jokic
Curry
Tatum
Butler
Kawhi (healthy)

All objectively are better when you factor in playoff performance. Joel is in a group with Luka, SGA, Jaylen Brown, Booker, Ja, Lillard until proven otherwise.

Giannis wasn't great this past playoffs, but sure. JOkic yes, Curry Yes, Tatum is still a notch below, horribly inconsistent. Butler below, he needs to do the same in the playoffs. I'm talking about players who bring it during both and can carry their teams consistently through to the ECF/WCF or the finals. Kawhi isn't healthy enough, Durant is no longer in his prime and since last year the decline has begun.

Lol Luka craps all over Embiid. Already had crazy playoff performances, game winners, gone further...

Old man Lebron is still more valuable than Embiid but he’s a cyborg.

Luka is there, LeBron not anymore. Luka was also pretty pathetic this season so he drops down notch.

Let's all stop with the trade talk.

You know it ain't happening unless Joel asks for a trade lol.

If you go back to last years thread, it's the same thing. Rinse and Repeat until some teams break out and win a chip lol. Happens to all the fan forums.

The moment next season rolls around, people will start doing their usual stuff.

Time will heal and we tend to be forgetful.

Just the same ****.

If Portland pick jumps to top 3..I’d be interested in a Sharpe/Simons/Miller or Scoot deal.

Well, we are where we thought we would be at the beginning of the season.

So we have to do what we thought we would have to do:
- Fire Doc (we need someone fresh, who can hold the players accountable)
- Try to trade Tobias for some established 3&D players
- Resign Reed and McDaniels, hope they take another step into decent rotational assets

What to do with Harden? Don't know.

I was emotional peak for me yesterday.
I’ve been a Sixers fan for 22 years, and yesterday was the toughest. I was not really expecting them to beat Boston in a series, but after G1 and especially after G5 I thought the mental part is on the Sixers side and they will finally beat Boston.
I was so wrong.

Rivers will be fired today or tomorrow, no question about it.

No owner is trading Embiid.
There is still hope for Sixers Embiid. Thing is, I can’t imagine Embiid smiling after such a bad loss if the coach is Nick Nurse.
Sixers fan since 2001. From Russia.

Embiid might be 29 but I doubt he has anymore then 3 years of this level left in him with how much injuries he has had.

If I was you guys I would give him another year with Maxey and whomever you get to replace harden and let Maxey be more of the initiator of the offense to help load manage Joel for a long playoff run.

If the same thing happens next season then move on from Embiid and get a huge load of picks and players back to build around Maxey. Maybe send Embiid to Toronto for OG, Siakam and picks.

It's not like the way you wanted the team to play would lead to any success, Doc!

Joel should spend more time worrying about winning games and not some stupid award. The subtle jabs from time-to-time blaming others aren't helpful either.

At least the Sixers aren't the same mess the Raptors are. :D

We've talked extensively over the years about that maturation process that Embiid is and needs to continue to go through. I think this is just another step. He's come a long way, I'm going to continue to believe in him, but we've got to get him the right kind of help. It hasn't been for lack of trying, but everyone from the top down has got to do better.

Been thinking about what to do moving forward.

I’d only run it back if Harden takes a team friendly deal, or a deal with discount.

And if Harden decides to not re-sign with us, Im gonna sit out Embiid next season then tank for a high draft pick where I’ll shop the high draft pick with Tobi and/or Maxey at the deadline or offseason. Kind of similar to what Warriors did post KD’s departure.

And if we decide to ever run it back. That means Harden and Embiid are our foundational piece. Which also means we need reliable scorer with shot creation where we wouldn’t have to rely on Harden or Embiid to carry the load. If we ever decide to run it back with a discounted contract from Harden, I’d expect us to trade Maxey, Tobi and picks for a reliable scorer. It’s not because Maxey is bad, but its because we clearly have a big hole in scoring with Harden and Embiid as our foundational pieces.

I dont think we’d fire doc. He has the approval of Embiid, FO and ownership. And i dont think our owners are as irrational as the fans. BUT i wouldnt be surprise if we fire Doc as an escape goat given how embarrasing the loss was.

I dont think we’d trade Embiid. Not for atleast 2 more seasons.

And lastly, Raptors fans lurks here to feel good about themselves but they’re in a deeper sh*thole than us.

Based on what Harden said in the post game interview. Not sure if he would be back. He basically said he's got less money and reduced role etc, yet same result. He seemed extremely disappointed. Guy has himself to blame. He should have just been fearless and just had that attitude of "give me the **** ball". But he ain't that.

Anyways, Harden on 30 mil a year would be a good price to get.

Will see what happens..
