I'm guessing Gordon is gonna be next.

It feels to me like this trade deadline may be an indication of the future of the team and we may be selling them sell-off long-term salary commitment and plan to get closer to the cap and not spend as much extra money because the team isn't winning and the arena future is kinda settled(somewhat)

Don't see how? after this season Beal has 2 years on his contract and PG 3, most likely scenario we would need to send stuff too

Even if we get an agreement, i doubt Beal lifts his NT clause for us, unless he thinks we can win a title.

A Maxey/Beal guard lineup would be a defensive disaster.

I think Phoenix would you give you atleast 1 of their crap 1sts, and the Warriors might throw something in on top to take him still. So Phoenix gets Butler, George to Warriors, Beal to you guys makes sense to me. Beal said he he doesn’t want to move his family during the season again but what if you told him he didn’t need to report until next year anyway but plan to reload to try again healthier next year?
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

There. All settled.
JDub is an untouchable like SGA which is why they are not even in the trading market being the team to beat to the finals!!!

They wouldn't even JDub for Maxey cause one is the top defending wing in the league and one is an unstoppable offense which OKC does not need, trust me.

Wrong. JALEN Williams is JDub, the All Star. JAYLIN Williams is a big man end of roster type.

Move Yabu for nothing less than a decent projected mid FRP
Oubre, late first or 2 seconds
Gordon, one second
Drummond, don’t care just move
always a jump shot away.

Yabu and Oubre fit and play their roles. If Maxey and Embiid atleast are around I'd keep both.

A lot of middling talent, but Maxey, McCain, Grimes, Edwards, Council, Bona give us some guys with upside. I wouldn’t mind some more young flyers if we can dump some of Drummond, Gordon, Lowry, Jackson, etc.

We aren’t getting any blue chip guys, but at least some potential bench guys, low picks, and free up some playing time.

This trade makes sense if it's to open up an avenue to keep Yabusele, otherwise seems to have been better to retain him into the offseason and move him then if necessary. Martin was always going to be trade-able.

What was the trade idea? Because you have to match salaries. Clint Capela and DeAndre Hunter would need 6 mil more which would be Dyson Daniels. Hunter is a 20 mil per contract who has been at his best this season coming off the bench. Capela washed expensive expiring. Need an asset attached to those. For how much hate PG gets, he still contributes greatly when his shot is not falling. Defense rebounding assisting contributes to winning basketball.

Maybe I’m bias but does Hunter offer much more than Justin Edwards at that 20 mil cost?

Oubre is a high hustle slasher. Wish is 3 ball fell more cuz the shooting mechanics look good. But you can always be sure he gonna hustle on defense and attack the rim. At 8 mil he’s a solid bench piece id keep unless I can upgrade including him with assets.

His USG is too high for his efficiency, even when going to the basket his efficiency is not where it needs to be.

Obviously you could say "he's taking too many shots because the team is injured right now", sure, when the team is healthy he's taking corners 3s and he's not good enough to take those either.

His defense has been good, but nothing to compensate for how much destructive he's on offense.

If Gordon and Drummond both have two year deals, I would be happy with a pure cap dump. I think Andre makes ~$5 million next year and Gordon ~$2 million. Just get out from under those deals.

We still need an upgrade at the back-up C position, then we’re good.

So Morey decided to do Caleb a solid and get him to a playoff team. Is the implication they are throwing in the towel on the year?

Grimes is a guy I like and have advocated for before. I hope they re-sign him. The 2nd back on top is very nice.

Would give us access to the buyout market.

Lonzo? Brogden? Bruce Brown? Simmons?

I'd be thrilled to get any one of those guys.
In order....

1. Ben Simmons- Yeah, we hate him...Not really tho. He's actually a great fit next to Maxey in a reduced role. The rebounding, defense, and playmaking would be a breath of fresh air for us. We could even play him at center. He's my top choice in the buyout market if that were to happen.

2. Brogdan - He'd be a very good complimentary scorer at the guard spot to Maxey. I'd feel pretty good about a trio of Maxey, Gordon, Brogdan in a playoff series.

3. Lonzo - It's worth a shot with him. I think he’s finally healthy again, but not completely trustworthy. Once again, he'd be a nice compliment to Maxey. Availability would be the issue and that goes for Simmons, Brogdan, and Lonzo.

4. Bruce Brown - What exactly is Toronto doing? I'm not the biggest Brown fan, but his defense and shot making would always be welcomed here.
