Either he has 8 players on a tier that he is interested in, or he just tipped his hand at a deal with Sac at 8.

My guess? The former. He probably is essentially saying they want to get into the top 8 because those are the players he thinks are worth trading up for.

My guess as well. I believe he also said there were about 7 or 8 players that they think could really help.

The top 8 comment really stood out.

I'm guessing he really wants one of Murray, Dunn, Hield, Brown then.

yeah, i don't see the need to spazz out over #3. i'm hoping we're just putting up a smokescreen about Dunn, because Simmons will be our main distributor.

I really don't see the upside to BC explicitly saying he wants to get into the top 8 aside from currying favor with the media. Doesn't he realize this information can be used against him? I can't imagine this is some kind of smokescreen. This dude loves to run his mouth.

Instead of trading for the 3rd pick, I'd rather get Avery Bradley and the 16th pick......then try to package 16, 24 and 26 for the 8th pick and get Buddy Hield...since it's Sacramento, I would be willing to give them back their swap instead of pick 24 or 26

Could just be just subterfuge. If he says he JUST wants to get into the top 8, then Boston or Phoenix don't really know he's desperate for #3 or #4.

Actually if you ask me which Center I want for my perfect championship caliber team, I will chose Asik hands down

Agreed.

He is trying to indicate to Boston and Phoenix that he may not want their picks as badly as they hope that he does.

Good point. That's probably what it is. He really wants #3 or #4 to get Dunn, but wants BOS or PHO to think he might want Hield or Murray and would therefore be okay trading into as low as #8.

I am fine with Simmons being a primary distributor in the half-court, but we still ned someone to lock down and guard Westbrook, Curry, Lowry, etc...which is why Dunn makes sense. He shoots the 3 well enough (38% last season) to be an option in the kickout game, and he can run the P'n'R pretty well.

Obviously, I think that Jah is worth more than Dunn...and I am worried about him torturing us for a decade...which is why I am hoping that PHX is interested in Okafor as well.

Gary Tanguay said on PST today that Boston definitely wants Okafor, because they've been dying for some scoring punch for their team. Contrary to the reports they want Noel instead.

Frankly, at this point, it's tiring.

The Sixer worked out Jaylen Brown. I think that's the guy that they really want. The Colangelos drafted Michael Finley, Stephen Jackson, Shawn Marion, and DeMar DeRozan. They know how important wing players are.

I think the Pelicans are the underrated trade partner here, they are poorly managed and generally desperate. I can see them making another draft day trade with us.

What could they offer? They apparently want Noel, and I don't think an injury prone Holiday and their pick is enough. I expect them to have a bounce back season, so even if they offered their pick this year and their unprotected pick next year, I don't think it would be enough, because that pick will probably be late teens.

Not sure they have the assets to acquire Noel. It would have to be something outrageous like Noel for Holiday, their #6 pick, 2017 pick, and swap rights for 2018, but don't think NO would do that, nor do I think BC is clever enough to even think of picks or swap rights.

Gary Tanguay doesn't know the difference between his ass hole and his elbow. I wouldn't lend credence to any report he says.

Jaylen Brown has become a bit underrated because of his subpar season at Cal. He has all of the physical tools to be a great player in the NBA.

Depends on who is available at 6. Could easily get your #3 ranked guy there. Dunn and Jrue is a pretty exciting backcourt.

I guess it's possible, but I don't see Dunn being there at 6 if he's the guy.
