Well that seems to have been a complete ****** lie.

Why doesn’t he just shoot the ******* thing. I don’t understand what the problem is, but I’m starting to think he’s mentally not up to it.

They have to challenge him at this point, his instinct is to go to the block when he doesn't have the ball and try to post even though that completely destroys spacing. There were a few times where Horford could have drove but Simmons was on the baseline and his man would just rotate over. At this point he's locked up in his deal and can't go anywhere, so there's no more reason to coddle him and stroke his ego, they need to force him to stand in the corner and take it when open or else they wont win a title because that post up stuff wont fly when he's guarded by LeBron/Davis or Kawhi/PG.

Aron Baynes took 7 threes through the first 5 years of his career, he got to Boston and Stevens made him shoot it for spacing reasons, now he looks like aussie Ray Allen or something.

Teams with zero multiple level scorers usually don't make it past the 2nd round. This team cannot score in the halfcourt for the third year in a row. That's why the gamethreads are like this in the first place. Because the writing is on the wall and some of us can see how this is going to end. Spoiler alert, likely with another 2nd round exit.

Towns not locking arms with Embiid, and refusing to let go, and we win.

Zero to do with why he didn't play tonight. Eschew the childish antics and keep his fat mouth shut on SM after the game and he's playing tonight....and we win.

Should’ve won the game without Embiid.

We can win with this team with a better coach and a freaking offensive system. We’ve seen year after year that this offense is fugly come playoff time. Brett is good at drawing plays out of TO and that’s it.

Edit: Brett will never challenge Ben to shoot. He’s a players coach, players do what they want on the floor and he’s ok with it.

Perhaps, but he cost us tonight. If he plays, we win.

Force any coach to use Ben Simmons as their starting PG and they aint gonna do any better. Some people don't realize how much he actually kills the team in halfcourt offense. He is a bottom of the league player in the halfcourt.

Better offensive system and coaching would make improvements in the margins, but ultimately it won't get us to the destination we seek, IMO.

You need high end talent on the ball that can score from multiple levels in a halfcourt setting to actually advance in the playoffs. The closest we have to that is Tobias Harris. And he's probably not quite talented enough. Not to mention, there's two ball blockers (Embiid and Simmons) ahead of him in the pecking order.

guys...we weren't going to go 82-0.

we had a chance to win this game despite all of our ****. Thats not bad.

save this rage for when we lose multiple games in a row or get blown out a lot. Sometimes you just gotta tip your cap and keep it moving.

Ben needs to shoot. Richardson probably needs less on ball responsibilities. Embiid needs to grow up. Brett needs to figure out how to get the offense in order. All of these things are true....but its a long season. the sixth game isnt the time to be talking about turning the team over Korkmaz....wtf.

I have major concerns about this squad. Had a whole whinepost on deck that I eventually deleted. But some of yall need to take a step back and let things cook for a bit.

We lost because jrich and ben had bad games. Al played great , everyone else was ok.

Devin Booker trashed our 3 best perimeter defenders in jrich, matisse and ben.

Hopefully the next time we play them Embiid will be playing and the offense will be in better shape. .

The only way Ben can play is as a PF and even the C has to be a lights out 3 point shooter. It's just too difficult to build a championship team with him as a core piece.

Everyone makes fun of the Timberwolves for inevitably being the Dlo trade destination, but I'm not so sure we shouldn't toss our hat in the ring.

Ingram dropped 40 today.

So he's the 17th player from the 2016 draft class on a higher development trajectory than Ben Simmons.

In terms of Ben regret, I still would rather have Jamal Murray than Ingram. Murray and Embiid were born to play together.

Maybe the next coach will demand Ben to shoot, if not he can tell the GM to trade Ben and get players that will fit his system. Brett is a positive guy that always think everything will work but it hasn’t so far. If they don’t win it all this year, I do hope they bring in a new coach.

We should just draft Myles Powell to rectify that situation.

I don’t want to overstate his value more than I have, but with Embiid out, Thybulle needs to be a bigger terror on defense in this game. I understand he’s going through rookie slumps, but we need what he brings to the table against guys like Booker.
