There on the same Tier, IMO. One is something between Carmelo and Glen Robinson, the other is something between Chris Bosh and David West. Depends on what you think is more valuable to a basketball team.

I just don't see how people say certain guys have Hall of Fame upsides based off of measurements and a few flashy college plays/games. All-Star potential, but Hall of Fame???

In a perfect, realistic world, we land Wiggins at 3. If not Wiggins, then Parker, the Exum, etc. I just don't see us getting Embiid. Now if we pass up one of these big four for Vonleh or Randle, I will consider rooting for another team. (not really, but still)

My dream scenario is Lebron and Melo both signing with the Sixers this offseason...does that make it any more likely to happen if I spam it all over online and get up false hope?

Carmelo or Grob is the type of players you can build your team with. On the other hand, Bosh or Dwest is more of guys who's be the secondary or tertiary option on offense.

Personally, I want Jabari or Wiggins over Vonleh. Vonleh fills a team need because he's a good complimentary player for Noel. But for a bigger team need of needing a star to carry this team? I'd rather have Wiggins, Parker or even Exum.

If people can't discern a realistic scenario from a purely hypothetical dream scenario (especially with a trade involving Hinkie's soul...hello?) then it's not my problem. But maybe in the future I'll be more considerate to those whose hope is invested in the comments of sixers fans on realgm who have no relation to the franchise at all.

In Chad ford's latest mock draft, he has Embiid going no.1 overall followed by Parker then Wiggins to us. 8th is Marcus smart.

Long time lurker and rare poster around here.

If the Sixers do get Wiggins at No. 3, as Ford projects, that would be incredible.

I also don't mind Ford's pick of Saric at No. 10 for the Sixers, either.

Even if Saric decides to stay in Europe for a few years, with the number of 2nd rounders the Sixers have, it may make sense to have a couple European draftees that they can stash overseas for a couple years.

Also wouldn't mind if the Sixers maybe trading Thad and a 2nd rounder to the Suns to get pick No. 14 and draft LaVine, if he's still available then.

A core of MCW, LaVine, Wiggins and Noel would be uber athletic.

Any word on workouts for the Sixers? I saw where the Sixers are working out Wiggins this week or weekend, but I haven't seen anything on Parker or Embiid, Gordon, or Smart.

I think I saw an Exum workout coming as well.

New article as per wiretap. Thought it was going to be interesting but it seems pretty stupid.

First it says that Wiggins prefers the 6ers in the title and then it doesn't even mention that fact and just talks about how he's number one on our board and we want to trade up for him. Which I'm skeptical about to begin with because I doubt Hinkie is letting that kind of info leak.

I can see us offering Thad+3 for 1 if we really think Wiggins is the best prospect and is a tier above the rest, and maybe if Cleveland is happy with any of the three they will want to take on a good starter at the four and not mind whoever is left? I'm just glad it says we aren't going to be giving up 10.

#3 and Thad is plenty - no way I would include #10 - I used to think the #3 and #10 would be good but now I don't think so - and I also agree that there is no way Hinkie is letting any kind of info out, unless he is trying to smokescreen or it came from Cleveland

The headline is from Ford's mock draft where he mentions the Sixers being Wiggins' camp's preferred destination and the Sixers having him at the top of their Board.

If this is from the 76ers it seems like a sure way to get raped by the Bucks or the Cavs for your picks players and cap space.

Or It might just be a possible smokescreen. I just have a hard time believing after being on silence for so long that the 76ers drafting team starts leaking information....unless they want the information leaked. :D
You want it to be one way....but it's the other way. (Marlo)

Hopefully trading for him doesn't cost as much as Lindros did.

I just read this Dean Demakis statistical analysis of Jusuf Nurkic. It compares him favorably to Cousins. Dean prefers Nurkic to Saric who he compares to Evan Turner. Dean says this year's draft could repeat history whereby Saric is picked before Nurkic just like ET went before Cousins in the 2010 Draft. This is a good read.

http://deanondraft.com/2014/02/19/jusuf ... an-boogie/

DX also has a recent video of Nurkic vs Capella:

http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Jusuf-Nurkic-7118/

If we don't pick Embiid with our first pick, I would not be surprised if Nurkic is Hinkie's second pick. Nurkic has a high ceiling and he would protect and compliment Noel.
“This may be one of the best jobs in basketball right now,” Colangelo said at a press conference introducing him as the new GM of the 76ers after Sam Hinkie resigned.

I like Nurkic, but I'm not so sure he's a perfect compliment to Noel.

Can Nurkic shoot the ball? Because if he can't, then the spacing is still a little messed up with Noel at the 4.
