They're not going to "franchise" him, so they may as well move him if they can get a 1st, or a couple 2nds.

I agree. He's our (only ever) Super Bowl winning QB, so if he wants to stay in Philly, the Eagles FO has to satisfy him...but the wise move should be to trade him before the draft.

However he's value is closer to a second round pick than a first round pick imho.

Someone gave a 1st for Sam Bradford. And KC gave the 49ers a high 2nd round pick and an additional pick for Alex Smith, at a time when he was considered barely mediocre. Foles just won Superbowl MVP. They can get a late 1st or at least and early 2nd+ for Foles. Teams always overpay for what they perceive as a competent QB.

The market has a lot of FA QBs and the draft has a few for the bad teams in the top. I don’t think the Eagles will get a 1st.

I think they need to wait to let the market shake out. Would also allow them to get more info about Wentz's recovery.

There are only three definite 1st round QBs that will go to rebuilding teams. In Free agency their are only 1 or 2 QBs likely to leave their teams who should be considered as good or better than Foles.

The Browns, Giants, Jets, Broncos, Dolphins, Bills, Cardinals. That's 6 teams actively looking for starting QBs. Not including Jacksonville and Minnesota, who may or may not bring back current QBs. Cousins will probably sign with the Jets, JMO. So, I'd say that one of the Broncos, Cardinals, Bills or Dolphins will be willing to pay for Foles. Two of those teams won't have much of an option better than Foles for starting QB.

Actually if you ask me which Center I want for my perfect championship caliber team, I will chose Asik hands down

He will destroy this locker room just like TO did. We don’t need him, we have Alshon already.

Bad fit (you probably want someone that stretches the field to complement the rest of our receiving core), bad attitude, and we don't have the cap for it.

Yeah. Def would be a solid addition skillwise, but Doug built a winning atmosphere that’s more important than the few plays Dez gives you. Like you said, he is very similar receiver to Alshon. I believe he is not a speedster and not much a slot guy. I’m not a football x’s and o’s guy, but I think he runs very similar routes to Alshon.

I don’t think that I would accept a late first round pick for Foles. For example, if the Vikings offered the 30th pick for him I would need more than that.

In a vacuum that would be a good return, but considering how ready to contend this team is, and how talented it is from top to bottom, I think that we can afford the luxury of holding on to him.

Now if Arizona offered 15 for him that might be a different story.

Generally I think with my brain and not my heart; however, in sports I’m occasionally okay with not making the smartest move.

I was okay overpaying some Phillies post-2008 as an appreciation for winning us the series.

Even though not smart capwise, I wanted the Eagles to overpay Dawk and let him retire here.

This is the same level to me. Foles is the first quarterback to win the super bowl for us. In respect and appreciation, I would be comfortable letting Foles decide if he wants to stay or go in that deal.

I’m sure Howie will likely have to go cutthroat in the best interest of the team, but I would be happy rewarding Nick with a say in his future for winning the super bowl.

Not the smartest policy, but just how I would operate.

I don’t think the team should keep or trade him based off of gratitude, but I do feel tremendous gratitude for him.

We are going to be the only team next year who would KNOW that we could win the super bowl if our starting quarterback went down because we just did it.

For pure football reasons we could argue that he is worth more to us than a first round pick. However, as a player, a first round pick for him is probably more than he is worth. At least he isn’t worth a high first round pick. The moneyball move would be to trade him.

If one of the QB hungry teams in the top 10 decided that they wanted him, but wouldn’t trade their pick for him, I would accept their 3rd rounder this year plus their first rounder next year.

They would hope that they would be in the 20’s the following year, but we would gamble that they would be in the top 15, and the 3rd rounder would be the hedge on the bet.

Just on football reasons I’d take the Vikings pick. If used wisely that’s a young player could help us for years at a team friendly price. Nick likely leaves after the season anyway.

Nick is definitely gone after this year, but while he is here he has value to us because he can take us all the way if the unthinkable happens again. I think we can afford to pay that opportunity cost by keeping him.

If I were a fan of any other team in the league I wouldn’t want my team to trade a first rounder for Foles.

It will be interesting to see how it plays out. Howie would probably trade him for a first round pick, but would it do it for 30?

Akers announcing that pick was personally one of my favorite draft moments of all time. Wow

I’m surprised Goedert dropped so low. Good on Howies part to trade down and still obtain the 49th to grab Goedert. Great replacement for Burton and plus we have that’s pretty solid practice squad TE that should make the roster this year. Now hopefully we go after a MLB and an Olineman in the next few rounds. Grab a safety also.
The scariest question in NBA history.

"Can Stephen Curry get better?"

I just Howe completely so if he likes this guy then I like this guy. Don’t know anything about him other than what I have read since the pick.

Love the trade down top that we were able to get a second rounder next year.
