The most effective defender on Embiid in that Heat series was Siakam. By breaking JoJo’s face.

So damn glad the Celtics lost, especially on that hideous floor. Say what you want about Wiggins, but he's a champion and played a huge part in making it happen, something most players will only dream about.

Love GS owner Peter Gruber for twisting the knife with “two Boston guys winning on the parque floor at THE GARDEN”

One year from now give or take, the Sixers will be NBA champions. If you're an out of towner or out of country, start booking your hotel rooms for the parade now.

Maybe you guys are right. But I still think Embiid and the Sixers’ defense will be Baby Back Ribs against the Warriors offense that no amount of chicken BBQ from Embiid will make up for it

Not sure why he keeps ignoring the fact that Biid was hurt.

One guy who looked cooked was Klay. Maybe it's just that he isn't all the way back from the injury, but he was brutal in the series, especially tonight. I was pleading with Kerr to get him off the floor.

I have Steph

Lebron because he’s the star & GM so it should count as 8 lol. Obviously trolling but I think the Lebron 2016 ring counts as 2-3. The fact that he almost stole one in 2015 is unreal and his 50 point game in 2017 Finals the greatest game I’ve ever seen. Gotta give him his flowers.

The Warriors are really **** good and just beat the number one defense in the league.

so yeah probably.

Which is why instead of hoping Biid can just solo teams, you build the team around him; make it so he can get easier looks throughout the game, having more energy for defense and not have to try so hard to do everything.

Maybe that doesn't work either but we have about 3 years to try everything to see if it does IMO. Team was 3-0 against the Raps (a team that many said would beat us so miss me with that "oh they weren't that good" stuff), then Biid got hurt and was compromised and we simply didn't have the tools to make up for that until he got used to the broken hand....and then of course he broke his face lol. Steph missed all of his 3s last game...but Klay and Wiggins of all people picked up the slack.

I keep saying it basketball is a team sport. Steph is nuts and can occasionally break that but they also missed the playoffs for two years straight because the team was missing a lot of dudes.

Boston IMO lost this one because they lacked someone to consistently get them into the offense and miscast Tatum, Brown or Smart to do so and the Warriors defense preyed on that. Doesn't mean they should just jettision all of them tho. Giannis was a career loser until he got Jrue..and lost this year when Middleton went down. Again Bron is in GOAT convos....haven't won **** without a Wade or Kyrie or Bubble AD lol.

Now the question is ....is Harden that dude? IDK but I think we should fix the wing rotation and maybe add a bench scorer and see if that can make up for Biid and Harden's flaws...and thats the bottom line...dudes have flaws, the interesting part of team building is finding ways around that. OUR FO has not done a good job of that for decades...like going back to Barkley lol.

I am a big emo bitch and I doubt this FO figures it out either but i still think its possible

I'm not opposed to Westbrook trade he's a dog. He can make harden and Maxey job easier. He's a great rebounder. We need to play more smallball around Embiid.

So GS didn't look like the unbeatable force they were years ago.. but they didn't look too beatable either. And that's without the Klay magic in the offense. And no contribution from their 2nd year 2nd overall pick. Damn.

They have Poole and Moody in case

Then for Green, they have Kuminga and Wiseman.

Warriors also have a lot of assets, just in case.

Wiseman and Klay enough to get Beal? Maybe. Who can match that offer?

We played with Thybulle and had the best 5 man unit pre vaccine issue, we played with Ben at the dunker spot and had Embiid played his best basketball in the playoffs in 2020-2021.. why not just get a guy who can rebound and FOR SURE make an impact on the defensive end..

Offensively, I dont think there’s much to fix. There’s really just maybe 2 teams who can provide better offense than us in terms of talent and generating open looks. Nets and Warriors.

The problem is on the defensive end. We look like a non-playoff team on that end.

76iology we suck offensively and defensively (especially so when Embiid has taken the foot off the pedal on that end for years now). Huge rebounding issues, facilitating issues

Our big 2 don’t mesh well (Ones a floater, one’s a pnr/iso operator whose past his prime which don’t fit and Harden is nowhere near Lebron where he could make a carbon rod for example work).

This team is closer to treadmill/blow up’s ville whether people like to admit or not.

Embiid is by far my favourite player but its apparent he himself is flawed when it comes down to it.

We might actually be sailing into a forgone conclusion, best thing is to enjoy the big oaf along with the ragtag of munchkins and clowns at the top trying to understand modern NBA lol.

One of the greatest offensive players in NBA history combined with a defensive genius and phenom.

They'll be remembered forever.

Steph + Dray is literally top 3 play of all time the other 2 would probably be Jordan/Pippen Kareem/Magic.

But jeez when they are together its the perfect player minus the all time playmaking ever so slightly.

I do think Green is this generations best defender by a very comfortable margin. (I don’t rate Gobert at all not even accounting for the playoffs).

Maybe.

If that’s your standard then i’d say we suck more on defense than on offense.
