We still need to address the back-up center position. Neither Harrell or Reed is the answer if we hope to make a deep playoff run.

Yep, I believe Morey knows it and it's up to him now to do it.

Mutiple comebacks this season is surely a sign of a contender.

Yep, pretty simple. He will come in handy in the playoffs vs KD, Giannis, Tatum, Butler, etc. He won't shut them down, but he will do enough to help out.

PJ is a good defender when hes allowed to play physical defense not sure if that would be allowed with those guys.If so they will either shoot over him or just drive by him.

It's 50/50. Sometimes Giannis will blow by him, other times he will get Giannis in foul trouble. Sometimes KD will score 40 by shooting over him, other times (sometimes even in the same game) he will get in KD's head and make him take bad shots or pick up fouls.

As an outsider I have to ask, how do you know Reed isn't the answer when Doc doesn't give him adequate playing time?

Love the resilience and love the way we fight it out. If only we had better wing depth. And Maxey was better all round.

If only… we could have had something here. Morey I’ve been off you for awhile, this is your last chance at a saving grace personally.

Whoever came up with the Tucker on Jokic move, just a brilliant stroke. Guess I have to give Glenn credit since he has to make the call. Is it possible that the Sixers created a blueprint on how to neutralize Jokic?

It’s a two part thing. You want Embiid to camp as a much as possible and you don’t want Jokic ever to operate on free reign (basically he can go wherever he likes and orchestrates the offence inside or out, it shuts off inside entirely).

For how bad Simmons is on offence the Simmons/Embiid combo defensively was brilliant at times.

For example Tucker will most likely be a poor matchup for the Celtics combo Brown/Tatum both can shoot and are way too quick. but Ben will literally D*K both of them all the time. Tucker will be very good on Giannis because he can’t shoot and can’t back him down. KD? F that forget the hoopla KD has always torched him every time lol.

It’s like styles make fights kind of thing.

Yeah The Embiid/Simmons combo was brilliant in playoffs against Celtics.

Coz Doc ain't playing Reed so the only hope is for Morey to bring in some respectable names whom Doc would not hesitate to play.

They need to let PJ rest to fix his health/hand issue. But, in the playoffs he will be your backup center by the time of the 2nd round.

Everytime I see the bench unit, I actually wish Tucker was there for either Niang or Trez. Tucker and Tisse on the floor together has been strong when it's happened defensively. Then just let Shake and Maxey go off. Matisse is your only defender with the bench mob. I will say Rivers deserves some credit for getting Trez and Niang to work hard defensively... They're just not physically able to okay an important defensive role. PJ won't rim protect at all, but can give you something defensively.

Though, they really need a quality backup center

Because I've officially made peace with the fact that he'll never get regular minutes under Rivers and Rivers will obviously still be here until the end of the season and possibly beyond. When he does play, he tends to commit a lot of dumb fouls which can potentially be resolved with more experience but alas...

Exactly. Please someone go and post in the GB about how Jokic D stats are meaningless and fraudulent

I'd like to add... this same idea applies to Gobert IMO.

Remember that time i told you to put Tucker at the C on defense?

My wife got me and my son tickets for this one for Christmas simply because it was the first weekend, afternoon game she found on the schedule (he's usually in bed by the end of the first quarter), having no idea about whether it was a quality matchup.

Hell of a first game to go to for my five year old! Hopefully I can get him hooked early.
