Well, he’s saving himself money because of this trade, so I understand him pushing for it too. We were not getting a better offer either

Hayward is an expiring but better than everyone we just got in the trade. Rozier is kinda breaking out, albeit on a trash team. He is small, so matching him up with Maxey might be an issue. I've just been looking at teams who are still in the process of rebuilding and would be interested in offloading older pieces who might be looking to contend.

the_process wrote:Guys, guys... ownership is always involved on star level trades. So not a huge deal. And I am no fan of Harris.
Here's the thing, we know was league was poking around about why Harden wasn't playing. We know that's there's a TV deal negotiation coming up. Silver wants his stars on the screen, not sitting out holding up signs in the club about liars. We also know the Clippers want to get acclimated to Harden, and that the Sixers didn't want Harden screwing anything up.
It's not a huge leap to assume Silver called up Harris and Ballmer and said let's wrap this up now. And so the Sixers took less than they wanted, and the Clippers gave more than they wanted.
I mean, Marks can break it down all he wants; the financials on that trade are extremely sketchy. I tried that trade this morning on FanSpo and it failed. Of course, it goes through now![]()
"League office assistance", indeed.

Agreed. Morey really lost this trade.

Yeah, Siakam is like plan D.
He's old, he'll be very expensive, and his shooting is way too chaotic and unreliable.
We should only entertain him if we strike out on all other options and Embiid puts pressure on us.

We have a G in Maxey. We should be hunting for a F.
