At the time, I was highly disappointed with the pick. Most people saw that Turner's shot was not where it needed to be in order for him to be a consistent scorer in the NBA. Most people realized that he didn't have a lot of room to improve his game, and he was physically at his peak. I remember hearing he was the most "NBA ready" so it was a good move. But I remember being pissed because I wanted Favors or Cousins instead. I wasn't as high on Cousins as some were, but I still preferred him over Turner.

Fall to 10?

That might just give Hinkie more incentive to trade up. I don't think that Randle is a guy that he's too high on even at 10.

This also forces one less top player from falling to #8. Gotta go up to #7 to get a good player. Aaron Gordon's not falling to 10 now.

I'd happily take Randle at 10. Especially if we get Wiggins at 3.

Agreed, it isn't like we are trying to contend next year. A core of Wiggins-Randle-Noel-MCW would be stellar.

Randle is likely better than Mcbuckets, Harris or some of the other guys who will likely be there at 10. If this helps him fall to 10 then thats awesome. If you never thought he was a good fit for team/with Noel then you probably view this as bad news since its less likely Gordon or Vonleh will be there or available for trade.
The feedback I've received from our fans is they understand we are trying to build something great. Good decisions come from having a broad set of options and making tough calls. We will do it unblinkingly. We have to be willing to take smart risks-Hinkie

Im hoping this makes Randle fall to 10....I think he'd be tremendous value there.

Good news for 76ers ? From sources Vonleh is not killing his workouts and may slip. Randle injury my hurt his spot a little but. I'm all for Parker/ Wiggins with Randle / Vonleh.

Parker and Randle added to our team would instantly give us a 1 and 2 option to go to. Both play inside - out and our strong as heck!! Young with NbA bodies on rookie contracts! Whew! !! Make it happen .

MCW/ Wroten
3 D / Anderson
Parker/ Thompson
Randle
Noel / Simms /

Id say so....If Vonleh isn't impressing in workouts and Randle will miss 6-8 weeks because he needs to have a screw removed from his foot....it certainly can't hurt if were targeting either one.

Then again, if there not impressing teams, we may not have them as high on our board either....in which it could hurt us if someone jumps up that we were targeting.

Either way, If we land Vonleh or Randle at 10, id be ecstatic.

I was hoping Randle would go early and one of Gordon/Smart would fall to us. Now it looks like Randle could be there at 10. I hope Hinkie has the sense to avoid him

Hey, anytime you have the chance to draft a stretch four who can't shoot, defend, and is coming off of foot surgery, you have to take it. i feel you

I guess there's nothing left to talk about until he steps foot on the court. His mom said there won't be any surgery. And even if he does have surgery, the report is to take out a screw from fracturing his foot a few years ago. He's had no pain. This report doesn't concern me at all.

Randle falling to 10 could be a real blessing his disguise. a 1-2 month injury in June isnt the end of the world.

I would be thrilled with Randle/Gordon at 10. Not loving Noah "Mr. Measurables" Vonleh with any pick

Walter Tavares is such a freak. He's 7-3 but is more agile than someone like Hibbert. Never touched a basketball before 2010 yet is a 74% foul shooter. That is impressive. I will be pissed if he's there at 32 and Hinkie doesn't take him.

I find it interesting that many posters feel that Randle would be a great get, but there have been no reports of any teams in the top 10, "targeting" Julius Randle. Embiid has Cleveland and Milwaukee. Parker has Milwaukee and Utah. Wiggins has Philadelphia. Exum has Orlando and Los Angeles. Smart has Orlando and Sacramento. Gordon has Boston. Even McDermott and Stauskas have Charlotte.
Not one report of any team in the top 10 targeting Randle, but the fans believe he would be a steal. Strange.

I question if he will be able to keep up with our league leading pace....in the 2nd round tho, he's worth a pickup.

Im fine with people disliking a prospect, but Julius Randle at 10 is a no brainer.

1 of Randle,Gordon or Stauskas at 10 and I'm smiling.
