so I've been spending way too much time thinking about this, but this next week or so we have
4 consecutive home games- Toronto, LA Lakers, Brooklyn, New Orleans

my thinking is the Toronto game is a automatic loss, where we could win the next 3. i wonder if they would sit him against Toronto and play him the other 3 and let him get us some wins.

probably not.

He's played like 3 times in the last two weeks. None of those are back to backs, not sure why he wouldn't play in all 4.

maybe, it just seems rare that he plays in 4 consecutive games.

I find it odd that the Sixers haven't played the Nets this year yet

Would be nice to see how Embiid matches up with Brook Lopez on both ends of the floor.

Lopez dropping over 2 threes a game. Might have to put a F on him to keep Embiid around the rim.

More like Richaun Holmes. Neither Ersan or Dario can defend anyone.

I was just looking at the schedule… after the Raptors game, is it completely off the wall Looney Tunes to think they could go on a five-game winning streak? I mean Lakers home, Nets home, Pelicans home, Suns away, Kings away; and none of them are back-to-backs, meaning Embiid should be able to play in all of them.

I can see the logic. Spending 5-10 mins a game at the 4 on offense for a couple months while we sort out our center situation is totally understandable. His shooting can still give Noel and okafor space to do their thing. And embiid has said he's trying to "learn it all", a little experience at the 4 couldn't hurt. As long he's still the 5 on defense, obviously.

I'm ok with it too if it is in short stretches.

Just what I feared. Instead of using his 1st year to develop this guy into a low post beast like Olajuwon, theyre hell bent on having him play the 4 to accommodate lesser players.

Actually if you ask me which Center I want for my perfect championship caliber team, I will chose Asik hands down

Moving Embiid to play 4 just shows how awful a coach Brown is. You don't move a franchise player to another position for a lesser player. Now Embiid does take threes and plays on the perimeter quite a bit even as the Center so having Noel play down low with Embiid makes some sense and they can interchange on defense. That could work. I don't want Embiid moving to 4 with Okafor. He and Okafor looked ok together the last time but we should not move Embiid for others.

Joel Embiid at the 4, Ben Simmons at the 1. Brett Brown doing everything he can to ruin our elite prospects. This is ridiculous.

If there is a season to experiment its this one, though, I don't want to see it long term or even for long stretches.

Guys, BB needs to pump up either Noel and Okafor at their strenghts, if we want to have a chance to trade one of them.

Who cares? Neither of those players are important. Neither is the compensation for them. Not in comparison to the development of Embiid and Simmons.

Are you saying you don't care about improving their trade value?
