Ha! My wife walked through the room a couple of times when she was in mid-shriek, and said "is she serious?" with an incredulous look. I simply said "very".

It's about what I got too. I got a look of disgust as if to say "why would you pay money to listen to her?" I don't know dude...Kate didn't bother me until my wife started to complain about her.

How do you get the other team's broadcast? Once in a while here we'll get the Nets or Knicks feed, which is fine. Ian Eagle and the woman he works with do a great job on Nets games.

Im enjoying listening and learning from other analysts point of view of our team also. I dont think its a gender issue because for instance Kayte Christie Hunter (Kings) was enjoyable and her insights about the game was a lot better even than Alaa.

In where im in, you only have to pay 50% from full payment (around $50usd) if you opt to just watch one team.

Its actually fun to catch other team’s TV crew covering our team. Got used to it lately

I personally find myself getting more annoyed with Alaa than Kate. I think she’s doing a fine job.

I do often listen to a podcast or music during games tho (both Sixers & other games). I just don’t really need the commentary most nights unless it’s a big game.

Kate Scott is terrible, literally can’t stand her voice. Alaa Abdelnaby is a giant homer.Somehow there even worse together. I would like to see them both gone after this season.
Mark Jackson and Tom McGinnis need to replace those two ASAP. Ray Dinninger as the fill in guy would also be nice.

I'd love if they went with McGinnis, but I'd really like to bring in an analyst from this century who understands and can break down the modern game. Jackson is better than Alaa (who isn't?), but they are both from a different era of the game, and their viewpoints reflect that. The game has changed drastically since either guy played.

Having said that, McGinnis and anyone would be more than welcome.

Something about Alaa.

Either he has very shallow experience or knowledge or he does not do his homework. Like every game i hear the same things about him.

Recently, ive notice that both alaa and kate know they’re getting “backlashed” from the viewers (just look at social media like twitter or facebook if u dont think there are) because they have been making less college sports reference and there was a time when Kate was about to make a college sports joke and she said something jokingly like the stat guy told her to hold it

Two things:

1. Alaa is what he is, a nice guy who is a product of a generation of the NBA game that is the stone ages with relation to the game today. His mind still thinks of the sport in the '80's and '90's, so his analysis will reflect that. Same thing goes for Jimmy Lynam and Marc Jackson. Sixers need someone who knows today's game somewhere on the broadcast.

2. If only the college references were the main problem with these broadcasts. I'd be just fine with some college references by a PBP announcer who didn't shriek and root, root, root for the home team like a middle schooler and without the constant joking.

Getting closer...it's Didinger.

And I can think of a lot of smart guys but I would think I'd like my basketball announcer to have, y'know, some sort of connection to professional basketball. Ray Didinger is a Pro Football Hall of Famer.
